As a rule, he's a very good QB. But when he has a game like this, it makes it very hard to remember that.
The problem with a lot of our fans is that they're trying to apply general expectations to Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks.
If you're a quarterback for the Cleveland Browns or the Detroit Lions, if your quarterback pulls out a come-from-behind victory or march 98-yards for the winning score in regular season, you take that because you know that's as good as it gets. You're likely not going to be in the playoffs to see what your quarterback can do when it's one-and-done.
But Dak is quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. He doesn't have the luxury of being judged by general expectations. Neither did Tony Romo. Neither did Danny White.
Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman set the standard.
So, unless Dak leads a 98-yard drive that moves the Cowboys to a NFC Championship or the Super Bowl, he's going to be judged harshly.
That's just the way it is.
