Dak Prescott is poised to break several franchise passing records in 2025

Let's not confuse piling up stats in today's Madden-version, fantasy football, offense-first NFL as a comparison to QBs or any other position of yesteryear. Today, there are more than a dozen wide receivers and tight ends who easily eclipse the number of yards and receptions than Drew Pearson's best season. Roger Staubach averaged 173 yards passing per regular season game during his career - Aikman averaged 200 yards. Roger threw a total of 153 TDs in his 11 year career which averages out to about 14 TDs per season. By today's standards, Roger and likely Troy wouldn't start for most teams - they would be considered "bus drivers." However, Roger, Troy, and Drew all are all in the Hall of Fame, Ring of Honor, and SB champions.
Morning drinking again I see.

Haters will hate but Dak is going down in the History Books no matter how much you cry about it

I'm not in love with any of the players. I don't know them. I will never do anything social with them. They're not sharing any of their earnings. They don't give two craps about me. Never will.
So why should I care?

Gone are the days of 9-6 championship games. The game is not the same. It's made to entertain the brain dead average tv watcher now, who only wants to see lots of movement and scoring, with players getting their little 12 year old girl Tik Tok moments every time they make a play. Getting all jazzed about yardage and TDs is pretty useless.
There will be no history books talking about one of Dak's championships.

He'll be in the history books alright.. a footnote that states Most pass yards QB with no Championships

They would eclipse every QB but Brady and Mahomes out there today. why? first off because back then defenses could knock the crap out of you on every down. Secondly, the game was more about power offense and rushing.

Only record I want to see Dak break is the most Super Bowl wins by a Dallas Cowboy quarterback.

We he does break more franchise passing records we’ll get to look forward to yet another Romo vs Dak thread.

When it comes to all-time most wins (regular season + postseason) in Dallas Cowboys franchise history, Troy Aikman & Roger Staubach (tied) are the franchise leaders by far (94), followed by Tony Romo (92), Danny White (91), then Dak Prescott (76).
Soooo, just further evidence of Dak's playoff shortcomings.

As if we needed that....
