If it's any consolation, we weren't going to win a Super Bowl in the next 4 years with or without Dak. So there's that.
If they had spent that
Money on defense and got a handful of pro bowlers for the same money we sure could be winning

I’m gonna ride with Dak! No choice but to hope for the best
You know , if you look back at the history of good NFL quarterbacks ,it took some a while to win the Super Bowl. One that comes to mind, is John Elway .So we can only hope that Dak gets better when the playoffs start in his later veteran years.

Watson also has 5 year contract VS a 4 year contract. A bidding war for him also drove his market up
Still though, it was ridiculous for when he got it, coming off the PR nightmare…. The amount of money the NFL must be making is insane, especially with the gambling revenue and all these new streaming service deals.

The decision was made, now time to move on. I personally will still watch but not buying merchandise or going to games. They can have my support but not my money.
Ok, when they win a championship, just keep your mouth shut and buy some Texans gear.

It was just moving money on the existing contract, which still leaves him very underpaid. He will get a bigger payout in the next year or two guaranteed.

Dak is likely to have the title for a while though, because all the young guns that have shown any promise have already been paid. CJ Stroud is likely the next big contract outside of Mahomes.
Purdy is going to get paid..

A young Elway willed a team of ham-n-eggers to
three (3) SBs where he finally was overmatched.
Dak couldn't tie John Elway's shoes.

Remember the big thing with him os that was moving teams. He got lucky in that their were teams desperate for a QB bidding against each other. He probably got 125% of his actual value because of that

Thank goodness - it’s about time! I lost a wager and was exiled to this board posing as a Cowboys fan only permitted to leave once THIS deal was completed! What can I say, I have questionable friends.

All you need to know regarding which side of the fence you should have been on pertaining to a Dak “deal/no deal” is that we in Philly are loudly applauding this contract extension. If we can’t win it, all that counts is that the hated COWBOYS CAN’T either!! Now it’s a done deal.

From all of us, a heartfelt thank you to the Jones family for removing a Dallas threat for years to come. May your ineptitude live on and be passed along for generations.

Gotta admit, I’m slightly disappointed I was never called out as a poser or fake fan. Lot of you seem to be surprisingly good folks that just root for the wrong team, and I wish you guys good luck through the regular season. Being real though, outside of this forum, it’s common knowledge that that is all you have.

Take care and be well!!

They or you didn’t question the teams lack of success . They or you pretty much spent the offseason blaming 1 person in literally every thread on the board . Had it been more equitable perhaps I would look at things a bit different

Sorry not sorry the Dallas cowboys are my team regardless of who’s behind center

And what you think of me as a fan will not have me losing any sleep. Now we can come together and root for Dallas success or we can continue this

Choice is yours
Trust me, "they or me" won't lose any sleep about what you think of "them or me" either.

I just enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of your supposedly superior Fandom

I can, and will continue to, make judgements regarding the performance of the team as a whole, and/or its individual components, as I see fit, without having to "choose" on your terms.

get the hell over yourself
