POST-6/1 RELEASE (Spring 2026) per Spotrac

2026 Dead Cap: $28,005,000
2027 Dead Cap: $34,000,000
2026 Savings: $40,000,000
You are looking at the cap accounting. I get the 'can' part.

I am talking about Jerry Jones who does not like paying people checks after they have left. How they account it to the cap before the fact is besides the point.

Probably no chance of that happening. Dak is set up for an $89M cap hit next year, they will for sure be kicking some money into the void years after this season. Theyll be forced to restructure the deal to a point where he is nearly uncuttable unless he goes on a full Russell Wilson style decline.

Only if Dak does a Russell Wilson Denver disaster ...or a Carson Wentz disaster at end of his Eagles Dayz, ..

And that would consists of Dak being pounded and beaten -such as what happened to Wilson & Wentz. ...IF we did not
address the OL as we have done so.

Denver and even /Philly (at that time) allowed their QBs to be beaten and worn down, ...gun shy as a result.

I would think this organization has a much better protection plan than what was seen from those QBs with those
particular teams.

I like how Dallas structured the contract.

Dallas can easily get an out after 2025.

It makes sense.

Continue to develop Lance and give Dak these last two seasons to prove his worth.

It's all on Dak.

If Lance is significant to the Cowboys’ future when are they going to offer him a contract?

Only the 2024-25 money is GTD At signing.

$129M

2025 cap hit is a staggering $89M.

we gonna lose a lot of our UFAs.
According to Over the Cap, the 'Boys have $29M in Cap Room for '25 without any restructures AND without any of the current Cap Space of $26M+ being rolled over (and, Micah ALREADY counting for $21M+). They can sign who they WANT if they decide to.

umm really? one game ago against the packers, lol
For his career, he has less than 2% of his passes picked off. Better than Aikman, Brees, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana. Dak is not interception prone. Had one bad year. It's a tired and idiotic suggestion.

Thanks, and I definitely had a brain fart about the last pick 6. But the original post was implying that it was a regular occurrence...which it clearly isn't.
