Baker would not have been successful here with this personnel and playcalling. The Buccaneers have an offensive line, running backs, and call plays from this century.

Not excusing Dak, but this would still be a struggling team in my opinion.
Maybe or probably, but we would have more money to shore up the defense.

Dallas has over $20 million of cap space right now. The problem is they waited so long to pay Dak and Lamb that space was not there all offseason when they COULD have shored up the defense.

It sounds counter-intuitive but those two deals opened up a ton of space. The Jones boys dug their own hole by waiting around and then cried "salary cap" as an excuse to not spend. If they did these deals back in March like every other front office in the NFL would have, maybe things would be different now.

I'm always going to be a Cowboys fan. I have been too long to just stop following.

I just learned to stop expecting so much year after year. It saves a lot of anguish and mental exhaustion.
Two weeks straight I've done turned them off before game ended. First season ever I did this. Why prolong the agony? Jerry isn't going anywhere. And neither are the Cowboys as long as he is in control. Look how he left the team this year. We have a 60 million plus q,b. that can't throw or run without worrying about a pulled muscle. We have no defense at all. We're looking at a full rebuld on this side of the line. Minus maybe a few guys at corner and linebacker. I'd say 7 for sure. On offense we'll need wr's- Olinemen and a running back.. Not to mention a quarterback.. Then you don't even want to talk about a coach. Idiot will bring someone in even worse than McCarthy. Hate to say it but Dallas as a NFL team is screwed for the foreseeable future. If you're 40 or 50...you might live long enough to see another SB win. Or even see them in another SB.

It's been 30 years??? You really think cap space is going to make a difference with these clowns. He'll use that money to bring in more cheap players from their couch and then lie to the fans about not having money to sign anybody big. Just wait and see...

Exactly. Same old stuff for three decades. I was a senior in high school when this team last won the Super Bowl. Now I am 46. When I think about that it only makes it sadder. And even more disconnected as a fan because I am getting so fed up waiting for things to change. It's almost as if I am accepting failure at this point.

Jerry is destroying the history of this team. We are basically the Cleveland Browns now, just with a larger fan base and more national attention.

As I predicted a few days ago he will punk out with another injury.

Dak has never been a punk when it comes to injuries. If anything, you're the one who promised you would quit the Cowboys and leave this site if Dak was given a new contract.

Well, Dak was extended with a record new contract. Why are you punking out on honoring your word,

Because he’s afraid to throw the damn ball.
That's the difference with Rush. He's a tick faster in execution. Doesn't have an arm, but just executes. Boom boom boom.
There is a big advantage to having a backup long term. Enough time to get in sync with the players even with only backup snaps. I doubt Rush looks as good anywhere else.

60 mil well spent for a throw away season. JJ could’ve waited to offer a record breaking contract. Results would’ve been the same either way.

Perfect for a rebuild for next year but no.
