Hamstring in a QB.. old man injury if it is even real. Predictable that he would feel 'tightness' in yet another game that was out of reach and he sucked.

And we thought carrying his 40M hit this season was bad.. now we have to carry his 60M hit. Jerry Jones is worst owner in the league.. what an idiot.

This franchise is done, this squad is done. Going to take another 5-6 cycles to rebuild a squad and that is only if we can get Jerry out of the way and get some competent people into the right places.

There is a way to force him into a trade.

Surely Jerry has a significant influence over some/most of the the local media.
He could bring up old stories about Dak which do not paint him in the brightest light.
Further, he could be told that he will never play for the Cowboys again. He could either effectively end his career sitting on the sidelines for three and a half years being hated by the fanbase and his time as a Dallas Cowboy becoming a hugely negative experience and realistically no other team would touch him so this would effectively be it for him.
Or they could work on a trade together. The two teams he would probably like to be considered for would be Miami and the LA Rams based on Tua's concussion issues and whether Stafford retires at the end of the season. Flip side is will those teams really want to bring in Prescott!? Probably not is my thought.

In which case, the Colts, Giants, Seattle and Saints are all potential landing spots.

Whilst the front office is a huge issue for obvious reasons people need to get real and accept that Prescott is a busted flush and that his contract is kneecapping the team. The sooner they move on from him then the sooner the team can actually build to be a contender even if it takes several years.

The cap ramification will need to take a hit regardless.

This trade talk is nuts. I think he's one of those QBs who the old expression "he cant play anymore" applies. Everyone knows. Everyone can see it. There will never be someone seeking him on a trade or otherwise.

It's a pity he's injured (sic). I'm sure the PR machine will be telling us that Dak would have won the Eagles etc games for us if he played.

It is hard to discuss this stuff without getting angry all over again.. we were NEARLY at the end of his first stupid overpaying contract.. and now we are in a worse position.. just hard to accept/fathom.

I agree that we are going to eat the contract regardless.. I'd tell him that he sits on the sidelines or he agrees to trade.. we pay most of his salary and likely get nothing back.. but at least we get some of the money off the books and get the fraud out of here. I don't think Rams will.. Dolphins unlikely. Giants possibly but they are still hurting from the Jones disaster.

Honestly thought... I just don't see a landing zone for Dak.. even with us eating most of his pay. The guy is just not the highly rated outside of Dakstans and Jerry Jones. Most of the league worked Dak out years ago.. they know EXACTLY what he is.. a bus driver that got lucky.

Yep, that is my thought too.. I don't see a single landing zone. The illusion of Dak has well and truly worn off. Any intelligent observer can now see that he was a 4th round pick for a reason.. he would be entering his 10th season.. he has no pace, passing skills are average, poor understanding of coverage, has shown no ability to elevate those around him..

Dak is a fraud in every sense of the word and always has been. Not a single day of real competition for his position and he has milked his money from a frail and stupid ownership who wanted to sell jerseys to even stupider fans who couldn't see the reality of Dak. It wasn't like the tape wasn't available.. many many media pundits have picked apart Dak's game.. shown exactly who he is.

Maybe he gets a gig as a back up somewhere but I don't even see that.

I sure did remember and he was still a much better QB than Dak is right now.
The hell he was. Throwing 5 picks vs Chicago. Throwing 4 picks vs the Giants. Getting blown out vs Seattle 27-7. Putting up 16, 19 and 13 vs the Bucs, Panthers and Falcons.

Not only are you guys full of hatred, but damn do sure just lie all the time. Falsehood after falsehood.

See once again you are only looking at the stat sheet and didnt pay attention to what was going on those games.

Because he still almost threw for 5k yards and dragged that sorry team to the playoffs

Sure dragged them to a 3-5 record in the first 8 games of the season. But yeah they did get to 8-8 by virtue of beating up on a terrible Philly team twice, an awful Browns team, Andy Dalton’s Bengals and a worse Steelers squad than Dak beat a few weeks ago. How did Romo fare in that season finale vs Washington, hmm?
