You were insulted by that?
Insulted? When a 'fan' sticks his own foot in his mouth and then adjusts that to ensure the heel fits also....take pom poms to the television game station?

Both.

Dak is a good QB. He's just not a "GREAT" QB.

His haters think he's trash, which of course he's not. There's lots of QB's worse than Dak, & lacking the skill set he does have. On the flip side, I don't consider Dak an elite QB. There's usually only a handful of those guys in the league at the same time. Guys that carry teams, & make the players around them better. That's not Dak.

* just one man's opinion.

Ever star at lockup? I was using cuffs and leg irons on 'customers' at age 73, low rent homie. Visited a Correctional Facility...I was an Officer.

For those blaming Dak for the playoff loss performance against the 49ers, here you go. Get better informed. Kellen Moore was the problem...

Too early to make such a comment, imho. People forget that he's only been an coach for 4 years and an OC for 3. He's still pretty green as a coach, I'd wait for at least another 2-3 years to see if he develops into a top OC. If he does, Dallas should have kept him. If not, we're good....

I agree that Romo and Dak are the same QB essentially when it matters most are not "the guy", but I don't agree that Romo would have given us a better chance than Dak's rookie season. Romo was made of tissue paper at that point and was breaking more bones than making plays at that point.

And yet we have people here making threads bashing Romo STILL....for his personal life. 8 years LATER for gods sakes!
Haven’t seen anyone bash him for his personal life. Maybe you’re thinking of the thread about Troy Aikman who was caught pictured with a young woman on the Italian Riviera with his wife nowhere to be found. Even Aikman gets bashed a lot by fans for his candid views about the Cowboys. Fans want him to cheerlead the team while he’s broadcasting games. Some fans don’t even think he was a good QB because of his lack of big numbers.

I must have because the only criticism I’ve ever seen about his personal life is his golf. Fans thought he cared more about golf than football. However, he did get ripped a few times for dating Jessica Simpson. There is a current thread about him for his bad pickleball play.

Definitely, but I think where the divide is that certain fans wont see any issue in Dak and will defend and deflect every criticism......if we dont accept criticism then how do they expect him to improve. As you say we've now got better receiving corp, potentially a game style that's more WCO and helps speed up the release (and for me a TE that flexible enough to disguise our play design) and dont have the obligatory Zeke up the middle for a 2 yrd gain.

Still think we need players to play to their strengths, Dak's is most comfortable moving the chains (with a lead) where he excels, dont put him in scenario's where's he's rattled or pressured by the clock....this may mean taking more chances early on rather than waiting for end of halves.

Saying this i'd say Dak shouldnt overtry to be what he's not, stick to the script, slow and steady (possibly more achievable without Moore).
I couldn't have said this better myself.... I said (in another thread) that Dak is Romo 2.0 and I stand by that. Romo went through this exact same thing. When he was rattled, he turned into a pick machine just like Dak did last year and last year was for the same reason. He got rattled just like Romo did so many times.

I don't hate Dak. I agree with everything you just said in the bolded. If Dak can do what you just said, I'd totally be on board.

Acquisitions I would personally make with the $22M+ the Dallas Cowboys will have in cap space post June 1st; 1. Deion Jones - LB 2. Robbie Gould - K 3. Dalton Risner - G 4. T.Y. Hilton - WR 5. Zeke Elliott - RB I’d feel 100% confident rolling into week 1 after those additions!

Now do explain how any of those added to the roster would effect Dak Prescott...Captain Crash.

My Squadron's nickname at the US Air Force Academy was 23 Crash and Burn!
