I have to agree with Sharpe on Dak not being the 7th best quarterback but he's definitely top ten. Its ironic that everything Sharpe said was what he thought opposed to how Skip pulled out proof of production, not just talk. QBR is heavily respected around the league and the numbers don't lie. But I don't think Dak's the seventh best.

Now Sharpe is a self admitted Cowboys hater and Skip is a Cowboys homer to the core, and Shannon Sharpe always pull out stat sheets when talking about LeBron and other athletes in sports.... but I notice how Sharpe conveniently ignore the paperwork when talking about Dak. How do you use paperwork when talking about other athletes and other quarterbacks, but leave it out for the Dak conversations??? Hmmm....

Now what really confused me when Sharpe on one hand said Dak isn't top 10.... but then he followed that up with Dak has earned and deserves his money and was one of the biggest analysts lobbying for Dak to get paid.... he just admitted that on the video, but.... huh?? Wait what???

I respect Sharpe's hate for the Cowboys but I don't put too much stock into his sports IQ for this reason.... this is the same dude that said LeBron was better than Jordan and Kobe wasn't a top 10 player all time in his top 10 list.

I don't have a problem with some of that because Dak is better than some here give him credit for (as was Romo), but I can't put him ahead of Burrow.

I'd swap Dak for Burrow in a heartbeat. Dak is good, but Burrow is special. We haven't had special since Aikman. We haven't won anything, either.

Dak has had a long time now to prove that he is a quarterback that can carry anything. He is obviously one of the better quarterbacks in the league, but he’s not on that level where he can will the team to win with offensive line, wide receiver and running back issues. I don’t know where that ranks, but it’s a stupid waste of time trying to figure it out. Let’s hope that he can stay healthy because he doesn’t have the same stability blocking him this year, let’s hope that the other teammates do their part because he has proven with a solid nucleus he will succeed. Let the guys who need the ratings figure out the ranking, I just want the win.

At this point with Dak, at least for me is what he does THIS season. Prove all the confidence and bluster on the field with big wins in big games...meaning playoffs IF you get there

That’s what I always say about these rankings. Outside of the top few elite QB’s, the 6/7 to 13/14 guys all need good teams and good coaching to make any sort of deep run.

People like to argue for the sake of arguing but if you don’t have a Mahomes/Allen/Herbert type moving forward then the ranking doesn’t matter in that second tier. All those guys need real teams and real coaching to succeed, very very few in the league can carry a team far.

They made a great point about Stafford, without Kup that SB would never happen.

Stafford throws a pretty ball and makes good decisions and money throws when it counts. Kupp plays the game the right way. Runs every route like its his last. Even when he is not the expected receiver. They are both helped by a creative play caller. With that being said, both are way better than what Dallas has on the roster.
