I'm of the opinion (and not just about Dak) that all such accomplishments have to be understood in the context of the game. We're at a point where quarterbacks are smashing passing records all the time because the rules of the game have continually been changed to favor the offense, especially the passing game.

We've never seen as many QBs with 100-plus passer ratings like we are seeing now, so the conclusion is either the game is favoring the QBs or these QBs are just so much better than their predecessors.

It's a good accomplishment for Dak, but it isn't something we can even compare to what he might have done if this was five years ago or 10, so there's no reason to use it as a measure against other QBs. It stands on its own merits IMO.

Which proves my point, further artificially limiting it to the first three seasons makes this an even stupider fake record.

Incidentally, even with the first three season limitation, Newton missed this "record" by exactly one touchdown. At the same time, Dak got to the record by stat padding in a meaningless game he should have been sitting down in. It's a thin line... on the way to owning imaginary records.
