Jerry and Stephen are joined with Dak at the hip with their blind loyalty; they tooted their collective horns endlessly when Dak assumed the starting QB position and had great success and paid him as a franchise QB.
Now that Dak, after being in the league for 7 years, has demonstrated he is a system QB and reached his plateau, the Jones’ are forced to keep him as dealing him would imply they were mistaken in their evaluation of Dak.
I applaud Jerry bringing in another QB with physical talent; Dak is too secure in the position and needs the competition. Maybe they will inspire improvement…surely no reason to improve…he got his big payday and is preparing to fleece Jerry for a second contract.
So get ready for another 4-5 years of frustrating, inconsistent QB play!
Can't just improve D reading speed just because you want to.

I swear we are the Minnesota Vikings with a star on our helmet, Kurt Prescott or Dak Cousins, heck they are in the same boat we are!!lol...Both of them wet the bed when the chips are on the line. I've been a Cowboy fan since the 70's and will never give up on our Boys but for the love of god man, stop talking about and be about it. Every darn time we need him to step up he just crumbles, I don't know what the hell he is seeing out there. Long season still in front of us but can they just shut the hell up and play ball, stop worrying about what the media says especially Stephen A. Smith and horse face Shannon Sharpe!!lol...Only thing Stephen A needs to worry about is why is hairline is in the back of his head, what a chump he is that Ole closet Cowboys fan!!lol

We don’t have red zone personnel. Runners or tight end. Never mind the playcalling I said it week one against the Giants. We were lucky.
Gallup is clearly red zone personnel. Yes, we do need a big bodied WR to join in there, no doubt.

I don't know why everyone is so down on Dak, don't you remember he "took" Romo's job and he made Tom Brady retire. It's only year eight, he is still learning. Just because a nobody played better than him is no reason to doubt Dak. Have you not read daily about his stats? Just because Dak is really starting to look old, that does not mean he cannot learn how to be a QB...some more.

Dak isn't our biggest problem.

But he's not our biggest differentiator.

Which is in itself a big problem.

When the game is on the line, you need your QB to be the guy that puts the team on his shoulders. I'm not sure he can do that.

I seen enough from Dak to know he will not get us where we want to go but I also know that these 3 next games vs the Patriots, The 49ers and Eagles will tell even more about Dak. I think we can take Patriots but Dak is going to have to make plays vs the 49ers and Eagles defenses if we have any chance to beat them. Now if Dak folds again in the 49ers and Eagle games, I would say, lets move on from him. I think it is in Dak's head now. I think he will be playing scared and will be prone to make even more mistakes. He is good against meh teams but go against playoff caliber teams, he can not get it done.

This is a hater thread you may just want to sit back and observe this one. They’ll be plenty of them this week

Dak wasn’t even the main reason we lost yesterday. If it’s a thread by OP you can bet it’s gonna be a Dak bashing thread he’s usually quiet till we lose
He certainly wasn't a reason we won. You can't keep having stinker games while getting paid elite money. You can't keep playing small when you are paid to play big.

I think the other thing that is flying somewhat under the radar is that maybe Dak became an old QB sometime between the Tampa playoff game and now. He has regressed. QB's don't regress in year 8 unless their time is coming to an end physically and mentally.

And rarely will he. It’s not his fault Jerry caved although prior to his injury he was trending up

I don’t care about the money it doesn’t mean squat to me but I do need him to run more and make some plays but yesterday up until 4th quarter I was fine with him

He’s 2 or 3 on list of concerns for me at the moment. And he was 2 or on my list of faults for yesterday. Cardinals came to play we did not

And as I look at what other option there are
I see none . But look at the bright side if the defense plays like that more frequently we may have a shot at Caleb Williams who btw is no sure thing

Or, the fact that he's not our biggest differentiator is the biggest problem!!!!
