Dak Prescott unappreciation thread

At what point do you bench your 60-million-dollar man to at least take a look at Lance.
Lance may be a total bust as well but can't make that observation and opinion while sitting.

I'd rather play with 5-1 as a starter Rush.... and plan to target a QB in the draft. Trey Lance is not it...

rest of the team? ok lets fix the rest of the team: Jerry SHOULD have picked up Derrick Henry, a couple of premium DT's and a LB in free agency, and told the 60 million dollar man he needs to lower his price for the team, but he did not. That would have fixed this team for a SB run.

failing that happening, I would have let Dak play it out and start thinking about a new QB. Dak is not going to lead us to a SB, and we will need the other pieces once we get a QB who will.


then again, I NEVER would have given Dak the FIRST no trade clause, because We could all see then how skittish he can be in the pocket when it counts.

Mark my words, Dallas will NEVER get to the SB with Prescott as QB.

There is no SB run with Dak, even if they "fixed it", like you said. He can't see the full route tree, so he'll never be able to keep pace with the big guns in a shoot out. Derrick Henry is also playing with a guy who is just as deadly with his legs, meaning defenses have to account for Lamar as far as running is concerned. Lamar is a way better QB than Dak, but his flaws in his passing gets him in trouble come play-off time with a solid roster, the point being you need sustained play from the QB to make it through the playoffs. Lamar though, I think can eventually get there, because his skills are very unique.

Lance can lose a game just as bad as Dak for a fraction of the cost. But, at least he can run and is young.

To be objective, none of the highly paid short contract QBs are doing so hot. Mahomes is the only smart one, signing a deal that will pay him when he's 108 so they can win now.

That a person wants to pay you money has nothing to do with you being greedy or not. Greed is indepented of what you are able to get.

just Dak? you think Dak was a dud, as opposed to the RBs, that were oh, so great. and the OL, that was pushing the Lions DL, 15 yards down field and the defense, that was so great against the run and the pass. so just Dak was a dud?

it was the whole freaking team that was a dud....this is one of the absolute worst rosters in the NFL.

The Dak apologists always want to deflect from Dak’s poor play. Dak set records with his contract. Should we not expect Dak to carry the team with the amount of salary cap he is eating up.

The way I see it you can be a Cowboys fan, or a Dak fan, or both, but you cannot separate the contract from the player. If you are a true Cowboys fan, you either have to hate Dak’s contract or you don’t understand how the salary cap works, or are sorely uninformed.

I don't dismiss Dak's bad play. that first interception was really bad.

but I also am not willing to excuse the RB, the OL, the defensive and the play calling situations...... if expectations are that because Dak make 60M, none of the other ones are needed, then people's understanding of NFL is limited and agenda driven.

the contract is what it is.....its the QB market. its the WR market. its the CB market.....that's how it is. you deal with it and move forward. you plan ahead. you have contingencies in place, etc. Jerry had none of it. he wasn't ready. he didn't prepare and he had no contingencies.
