Just fyi you’ll be eating your word on hurts this year. He didn’t play his first year until week 14 so can’t say he was bad, didn’t have a number 2 wr his first full season a starter(2021), 2022 his second as a starter he went to Super Bowl, you know the game dak hasn’t gotten close too. His third may have been a down year but fact is he can escape the pocket and gets yards by passing or rushing. Wouldn’t doubt him bc he wears an underdog chip and he’s a Texas boy.

Wins are not a QB stat anymore than they are a G or K stat.

For the actual QB stats he has had 1 great year, 1 incomplete year, and 2 below average years. Now the nice thing about having had a great year is that one knows it’s possible for him to do it but it is not yet the regular occurrence.

Stephen should remind Dak's agent of that rating during their next meeting. No doubt, that it should impress him convincingly!

It's fair to say this list is an accurate representation of the media and players who are by far Dak's biggest backers.

All I am saying it trying to somehow pretend 2023 was a good year for Hurts is laughable. He was barely a Top 10 QB in 2023, if that.

I agree…he certainly wasn’t top 10 last year. I think this a player voted list, but correct me if I’m wrong. I think the players are just giving him the benefit of the doubt because he was clearly not 100% health wise much of the year and had god awful coaching and play design. Time will tell if the players are right or wrong to give him that benefit of the doubt

If so please share with us how you're more qualified in judging NFL quarterbacks than all of the NFL players, coaches, GMs, scouts and executives.

OK broken record, yes I know more, after 8 seasons of watching Dak it’s should be obvious what Dak is and it’s not what you think he is. I”ll change my mind when Dak does something to change it, at this point there’s no doubt I know more than them and also Jerry when it comes to QB evaluation. You believe Dak is going to be the difference maker in getting to the SB, if you do I guess you believe the Dak worm has turned too, me show me something when it counts, it doesn’t matter what You or I think because regardless Dak is getting resigned because winning the big game isn’t a prerequisite for a Jerry built team only relevance. Team fails again and they will MM is the scapegoat for Daks inability to win the games that count. Enjoy the season and knowing Daks next choke job is right around the corner should make it easier for you to watch, I’m sure you will have many more excuses for his failure again and again

LOL. He was not a Top 5 QB last year. Likely not even a Top 10 one, especially given the collapse at the end. Lamar Jackson is also a dual threat QB. So using your logic, it should be expected that he would struggle in some areas like Hurts. Except he didn't. He threw for like 200 less yards but had a rating 13 points higher, a QBR 5 points higher, threw 8 less interceptions, had a higher Y/A and Y/C, higher completion percentage. He was way more effective throwing the ball than Hurts was.

Just because he's a dual threat doesn't somehow mitigate some of those mediocre stats.

Hurts wasn't great last year. He wasn't even "good", especially over the 2nd half of the season.

He's using the dual threat points to validate the rushing tds, not to discredit the shortcomings. In totality Hurts had a good (but disappointing) season last year, with a disastrous ending. Guess we'll see where it goes from there.

i think it's easier to quibble about one or two spots than the entirety of the list. being 16th is pretty impressive independent of hurts being ahead or behind.

I think Dak has played well enough in 5 of his 7 playoff games to win.
