Dak Prescott vs the Lions

In my opinion it boils down to us scoring TDs and not field goals. They're gonna score but their defense can be had through the air.
If we hafta settle for 3s we'll lose.

It's really as simple as that to me.

Additionally, an effective run game by us would help tremendously toward offensive success.

I know, real Captain Obvious stuff here but sometimes it's pretty simple.

You know what else is simple.. The Cowboys have a guy on their roster who has a gift for being able to find the end zone down close. If they start using him in those situations their red zone issues might go away.

Those other teams weren't the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are an "inspiration" to the Lions, you might say.

In addition, their primary offensive strength of the Lions is not exactly the most impressive aspect of the Cowboys defense.

Referring to that penalty last year that lost the game for the Lions, which Lions squad feels the most maligned by the event?

Montgomery and Gibbs behind their extra-motivated O-line against the Cowboys injury-ravaged D-line.....seems challenging.

The Steeler's running game is going to feel like playing against your kids compared to what the Lions intend to do.

It's hard to keep track but it sounds like we're back to wins and losses being a QB Stat rather than a team Stat.

I understand this wasn't the case after the NO and Baltimore games. Those were team losses.

Just making sure I understand how this game works

He’s 5-0

He has thrown 11 touchdowns with only 1 interception and has a quarterback rating of 118

See you all Sunday
Unfortunately,

History has a funny way of breaking tradition.

We may be cooked this coming Sunday. The lions have improved significantly.

Looking to have a blowout from the Lions here boys. Just sit back and watch the nuclear show!!

For what it's worth, our defense has given up 329 yards per game and 14 tds.

Our next 5 opponents defenses:

Lions: 349, 9 tds
49ers: 307, 11 tds
Falcons: 335, 10 tds
Eagles: 365, 10 tds
Texans: 274, 13 tds
This is great proof of what’s to come.

See, Dak struggles significantly against teams that can put up a lot of points. I know that makes little sense as he doesn’t play defense, however, what I am saying is—if we go down in the first Q, or if we need him to score more than 20/21 points, or if he needs to win a shoot out, it’s not happening. It’s why we lost against the Ravens (went down early, Dak can’t play well when the team is down) or when we need a shootout.

The Lions are a great offense. He will not fare well if they score in the first drive.

Contrary to some dak defender opinions....the offense has a lot to do with how defense plays and gets played.

ALWAYS have an awful pass defense...and are bad again this year
Great team to feast on via the passing game.

Decent run defense though

Go get em Dak
Which is why I'm hoping CeeDee can finally break out this week. I would love it if he could repeat what he did against the Lions last year.

Lost to bucs.

Barely beat a bad rams team.

Beat the cardinals by 7.

Scored 42 on the seahawks but gave up 29 points and 395 passing yards to Gino Smith.

I dont think they are exactly setting the NFL on fire.

Winnable game but with our injuries on defense it will be tough.
Cardinals would bead Dallas arse again if given the chance.

Sure they do.. but if the defense gets trampled for TDs on the opening drive then turns around and gets trampled on the next drive it's hard to blame that on the offense. If you want to argue that the defense would tire out in the second half if the offense isn't moving the ball. But it has been very rare that the Cowboys are just out there going 3 and out. Even when they aren't ending drives with TDs they pretty much always move the ball.

These stats are skewed because for years Detroit sucked. Detroit’s strength, their O line plays well against our weakness, I’m taking Detroit in a landslide.
