Don't hold your breath waiting for Risen to admit he was wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Wentz and Dak didn't just retire after 15 years in the league did they?

Chill pill, please. Both guys just played their first preseason game.

Wow, one preseason game against the Rams, and Prescott is in the Ring of Honor.

Folks, he didn't see one NFL disguised zone. He didn't see one complicated blitz. He threw simple reads in man coverage. The NFL is a LOT harder than what he saw.

He passed that test with flying colors and showed he absolutely has the tools to figure out the NFL. But that's all. He has a trilogy of learning ahead of him.

All this angst over a half of good football in the preseason and over what Risen - who is sarcastic on steroids - has to say about a quarterback.

It was only the first game of the preseason but I liked what I saw. The moment wasn't too big for him. He looked relaxed and wasn't afraid to make the tight throws.

And it didn't cost us the future to get him (Eagles...lol)

I think its funny that the Wentz Zealots preach patience, but can you imagine if Wentz had had the kinda first game Dak did? they would have probably entered a whole new realm of fanboyism over Wentz, if thats even possible......

@CATCH17 has actually been pretty reasonable with his comments on Wentz and Dak. He was the biggest Wentz supporter on the board I am sure.

Thank you dog...

If you guys really care to see where I stood on Dak then you can search and find that I was one of the few people who actually likes him before he was ever being mentioned with the Cowboys.

I did say that I only thought that he would develop into a solid backup but with a showing like he had in his first time out I am no longer keeping that as his upside.

Witten on his worse day is better than Hanna who has not done nothing since he has been in Dallas. You are right Witten is not the same TE he was in his prime but he still moves the chains and is still a reliable safety blanket for Romo with reliable hands. Fact is Witten knows how to get himself open

I agree that Witten knows how to get open. Witten's ability to get open is, however, in part a function of him not being a yards after catch threat. Witten is not a threat to take it to the house after he catches it, so he catches lots of balls because the emphasis of the defense is on other players, like Dez.

Throwing the ball to Witten is similar to a check down throw to a running back, with the main difference being he is not really a threat to take it to the house.

Absolutely this.

Not sure why we can't be happy that the man had a good half game in the preseason. It at least temporarily alleviates some stress regarding the potential behind tony.
