QB want to play, Herbert is no different, he has rib injury. We saw Romo do the same I have watched many QB do the same. However if that player ends up getting hurt worse that is going to fall on the head of the HC. Fact is Chargers were getting the crap beat out of them and HC should have pulled him. This is the reason on concussion the NFL saw to it that it is not the player or coaches call, that player is out.

Dak does not want to come back against the Rams, he should give Rush enough rope to tie himself up. I personally think Dak is obviously more talented than Rush but the game plan has been much better for Rush.
Dak is best when the defense plays less than 30 minutes of defense, offense is balanced. He is a not a gunslinger.
You will never beat any elite team trying to out score them.

The game plan has been better for Rush? It is amazing how great the "Game plan," looks when the QB reads the blitz and hits the receiver perfectly vs launching it 5 yards over their head.

So do you think the coaches put in a little extra study time to help Cooper out?

Honestly, it would make more sense for Dak to (somewhat cynically) wait for Rush to first lose a game - such as against the Rams or Eagles - and THEN come back.

To act like the savior,no way..I want him starting against the rams and if he sucks,then they'll really be a QB controversy. Especially if we beat the skins this week..but if he,we play good and win,that kills any such talk.

Dak need to sit down and heal, there is no need to RUSH back....

Dak has leadership skills, and a good leader is supposed to know what's good for the team. Cooper Rush is in a zone and has the hot hand. As a leader, Dak need to continue to support Rush even if it means he supports from the sidelines in a temporary backup position.

Dak actually has the opportunity to show more in a supportive role than being on the field. This is what a real leader would do!!

Dak want to play but from what I'm hearing that is very unlikely. Players do not make the determination that will fall to coaches and medical staff.

I ruled him out for that game after week 1, as did any medical professional. I just dont see how a return that quick would be humanly possible.

I agree, I think what a game against the Rams does is it speeds up the decision on whether Dak's is able to replicate (or even better what Rush has been able to do).

The improved situation we're in is that Dak is now replaceable, Rush has shown he can get the Offense working. I realize some detractors will say he hasnt Dak's ceiling, but Dak needs to show it, lets get away from the blame/excuses, it's time for him to 'put up'.

If Dak does perform he then goes on and we'll prosper, if he doesnt we have the chance to revert back to Rush for what is the more important game vrs the Eagles.

In yr seven,the ceiling has been reached.

and that can happen at any moment, ive had many surgeries and injuries over the years, one day its slow to heal, and you go to bed wake up and its gone..

If that's really how dak feels,he's more useless than I thought and definitely not a leader mentality.
