Dak Prescott's shortcomings are impacting the club's coaching decisions, approach

So you’re upset that I agree with you?

Is this not what you said? Why are you pretending like I’m putting words in your mouth? I agree with this post what’s the problem.
I apologize. I just can't help myself.

One of two things must be true here.

Either you just aren't capable of understanding what he meant

or

You are intentionally misinterpreting what he said and intentionally playing dumb in an effort to troll yourself to some imagined high ground.

All I said was I agree with his post…..he explained his point very well.

The rabbit hole has now been reclassified...TMC stands at the gate of which nothing escapes!

Veteran free agent QBs still available include Teddy Bridgewater, Carson Wentz, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock and Tyler Huntley. Any one of these names would signal the Cowboys’ high expectations for the 2025 season. Rolling into the new season with Will Grier or a late round/undrafted rookie as QB2 would signal something quite different.

I don't really understand the point of a back up QB. If your starter goes down, the goal should be to tank. What good did it do us to have Cooper come in and win some games?

Yet another article about the Cowboys moving towards a more balance offense and running more.

Dak Prescott's shortcomings are impacting the club's coaching decisions, approach

As Dak Prescott begins year the first new year of his massive four-year, $240 million deal signed in 2024, it’s almost impossible to be at least mildly concerned with his long-term health and wellness.

Prescott’s mobility has seen a significant decline since that gruesome compound fracture suffered back in 2020 and now the Cowboys signal-caller is generally resigned to a pocket-focused role with scrambles even falling outside his area of expertise. In an era when mobility has never been more en vogue, the Cowboys find themselves moving in the opposite direction of league trends.

It's hard to envision the Cowboys running the ball more often than passing, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see something more balanced than it was under Mike McCarthy.

No one else's short comings seem to affect the team at all. That is strange don't you think???

Dak's strengths are also impacting the coaching decisions. This is true for every QB in the NFL.

The Cowboys should have been running more anyway. Every team in the league knew the Cowboys were going to pass, they never even tried to improve their running over the past 2-3 seasons.

In 2023 they ignored a strong RB class that he canin the draft and in 2024 they brought back the guy that wasn't good enough for 2022.

Dak's weakness is he can't constantly dodge four to six pass rushers that knew from the very start that he was going to pass.

Come to think of it, I saw a lot of that in the last Super Bowl.

Is the oline in Kansas city bad?

Genuinely curious, because I love their starter when he is not injured. Even if he got benched in SB.

Pacheco is a hard freaking runner.

I guess you can point to production numbers to water him down, or something, but the kid runs hard

Yes, I know their line got pulverized in the SB.

Terence Steele is here for at least another year

Many fans had written off the team’s right tackle, expressing great confidence that he would be a cap casualty this offseason. While his “disappointing” performance may have been exaggerated, the team has always spoken highly of him and given every indication that he wasn’t going anywhere. On March 16, the cement dried on that notion.

Steele’s 2025 salary became guaranteed, meaning his dead money hit went from $13.5 million to $26.75 million. If they wanted to move on from him, they would have done so before his salary became guaranteed. Steele has three more years remaining on his deal after this season, so the Cowboys can still choose to cut him loose early, but it’s definitely not happening this year.

This pretty well says no offensive tackles this draft in the early rounds.

That means not just giving up in football...still know about sticking it out and becoming forged in fire?
