So apparently the "turning point" was Dez Bryant jumping 10 feet in the air to catch a badly overthrown ball, Terrance Williams stopping his route and turning 180 degrees for another poorly thrown football and Prescott running into a giant void created by his teammates for a touchdown.

This man can run forward when nobody's around.

Pffffft.

Bismarck.
Silly me. Here I was thinking there were more than three plays in a football game........................

When Dez fails to catch a pass that he has to bend down for or lay out for (both have happened in the end zone this year), and you make the criticism "Dak didn't let Dez high-point it," then when Dez high points it and comes down with it, you don't get to make the criticism "Dak overthrew him."

These are the plays they are referencing as the turning point courtesy of Prescott.

Keep up.

With Dak it's always been about decision making and leadership.
He's not a pinpoint accurate passer and that's fine because he is smart with where he does throw it. Having the ridiculously low INT rate is proof. It used to be that 3rd and long was at best a 50/50 coin toss for us to pick up the first or worse. Now with Dak, his decision making and mobility, even 3rd and long is not scary. Has to be maddening for opposition that they throw nine in the box and bottle up Zeke for two downs then Dak whips out an easy first down.

these types of posts remind me of people (primarily on Reddit) who will completely discredit an opinion/observation because a typo or a misspelling is discovered. It does not matter how well thought out and backed by evidence the original post was if there is a grammatical error.

It's absolutely true that both those balls were poorly thrown. The WRs made great plays on the football.

1. I'm not sure at whom this comment is directed. I would certainly say Dak overthrew that pass and was rescued by Dez. But I haven't criticized Dak for failing to let Dez high-point balls in the past.

2. Even if I had criticized Dak for failing to let Dez high-point balls in the past, why would that preclude me from observing that when he did give Dez a ball to high-point he was a bit off in his execution?

3. Context matters: you reference end zone passes. If Dak throws a ball for Dez to high-point in the end zone and the pass sails, it's just an incompletion. The real issue with the pass in question is that if Dez doesn't make a spectacular grab, high-pointing the ball, it probably ends up in the arms of one of two safeties that are just behind him, turning the ball over on Dallas' side of the field and maybe even resulting in a pick six.

4. In the end the play worked out so this is all much ado about nothing. I still think Dak is a great QB. I just think he overthrew that pass a touch and was somewhat fortunate that Dez bailed him out.

Romo may be one of the classiest guys to ever play for Dallas.

Awesome.

Two weeks ago no one thought the Cowboys could beat the Commanders and Chiefs in back to back games. Now they are rolling with Dak and Zeke leading the charge.

Commanders? their team was almost all injured. everyone knew we were better than them.

Tough to say whether this was a good answer to a tough question. Tough to answer good questions so it’s good when you find a coach that’s mentally tough enough to be good at it.
