I see a lot of Ex- NFL players and coaches saying Dak should be the MVP. It's almost a runaway with the players and coaches that either Dak or Zeke should be MVP.

But the guys who write the columns are really pushing against it and they will win because they are the ones who will be voting.

The story of this NFL year has been Dak and Zeke. There isn't a close 2nd.

Not only have they carried their team but they both carried a league with TV Game ratings down and gave the talking heads on TV something to get their ratings up as well.

I am really bias against the media and rightfully so. They use to be smart with their dislike of the Cowboys, now it Is blatant. It is complete hubris, the media is so lazy now and they think they are more important than the sport or topic they cover. It is no wonder that noone listens to them anymore.

I can't believe Aaron Rodgers is even a consideration this year.

The only real MVP canidates this year are Ryan, Carr, Dak and Zeke.

Brady.. His team was fine without him. 3-1 and he played in 25% less games than everyone else.

Rodgers? His team BARELY squeeked into the playoffs. Reverse the first of this season with the back half of the season and even though they still make the playoffs nobody is talking about him.

Dak could go all the way and win the SB and people would still discredit him and say something to the extent of oh he won because of that Oline or because of Zeke or because the NFL is in a down year. They will always find something to nickpick about against him. Dude has had an incredible season for a rookie QB. INCREDIBLE! If he was on any other team they would probably be falling all over him and easy easy path to MVP. But because he is a Cowboy and a lot of folks hate the Cowboys you get what you get even in the face of Dak and his incredible season with the unprecedented things he has done in that position. One of the hardest positions in sports to do great/good in... QB for the Dallas Cowboys with all that pressure (even more so now that someone like Romo is on the sidelines) and spotlight generated.

The dude is a rookie and he is being compared to some of these elite QBs in their prime for gawd sakes. If this is how this dude starts out imagine when he gets more mileage under his belt. Watch out.

People forget about his presence in helping to transform the culture of the team in the lockeroom or whatever. He doesnt have a masters in workforce education leadership for nothing.

I remember strongly before the season started... in the preseason after Romo went down and Dak was doing great for a rookie.... talking heads and fans were like... "just preaseason lets wait untill the regular season" etc. etc.

Reg. season happens and it turned into "oh but zeke", or "wait until he faces a good defense", "oh but oline" etc. etc.

Reg season is over and it turns into "oh but he is a rookie", and "if he was on another team" etc. etc.
RIDICULOUS!

now do we see how transparent and weak this hate is???????? so obvious. if you can't see it than you're blind.

Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers - I don't know why anyone would say that Rodgers does not deserve it.

Dak and Zeke have a strong case but I don't think the writers will give it to a RB over Ryan or Rodgers and Dak is discounted because of Zeke.

No different than what happened to Aikman over his career.

Easy. Rodgers has only played at an MVP level for half a season, while other candidates (Matt Ryan, Zeke, Dak, Stafford) have played at an MVP level for the entire season. Recency bias is Rodgers' best friend

Same goes for Brady being a candidate, he hasn't played a full season AND his team went 3-1 in his absence

Without Rodgers that team is in the toilet.....(and he performed at that level for 75% of the year). No running game to speak of and terrible defense. He may have struggled early but he came on very strong to run the table. Ryan and Brady have a much better all around team.

Sure but you can't barely squeak into the playoffs and be a MVP candidate.

At no point this year was anyone asking what is wrong with Dak or Zeke like they did with Rodgers.

When Dak & Zeke played Rodgers head 2 head their performance was better as well.

can that logic not be applied to Matt Ryan? Where would the Falcons be without him?? And he's done it all season to boot

clear MVP imo

This will be like in 2014 when Romo deserved to be MVP, but didn't get it because of DeMarco Murray's season.

A case could be made for both Dak and Zeke and that will hurt them in the voting.

Rodgers ended up with 40 TDs and 7 INTs. It kinda sneaks up on you because there was so many people jumping off his bandwagon at the beginning of the season.
All of the votes should be in by now, I wonder if any of the 50 voters has revealed their choice. I wouldn't bet a nickel that Dak would even get one vote. I don't see how you could vote for Dak with Ryan better in literally every category.

Rodgers on Green Bay is the definition of MVP IMO. I have no problem with Ryan getting it over him because of team success and his incredible year but he had a great offensive supporting cast with the RB tandem he had.

I don't believe there is any way Dak is getting it with 23 td's and 3500 yards and the Zeke effect - just don't think it is happening

Matt Ryan has the most sound case.

The only thing you can use against him is that his team lost 5 times and the Cowboys were more dominant during the season.

I think Zeke makes us a more dangerous team big picture than Matt Ryan does the Falcons.
