I would go with Zeke. If I had to pick one from another team, it would be Rodgers. He said he felt the Packers could "run the table" back when they really appeared to be out of it, then actually did it. The way he is playing right now is scary good.

can that logic not be applied to Matt Ryan? Where would the Falcons be without him?? And he's done it all season to boot

clear MVP imo

I think that logic can, but I also think if you gave Rodgers, Ryan's cast, his team would be at least 12-4

Rodgers on Green Bay is the definition of MVP IMO. I have no problem with Ryan getting it over him because of team success and his incredible year but he had a great offensive supporting cast with the RB tandem he had.

I don't believe there is any way Dak is getting it with 23 td's and 3500 yards and the Zeke effect - just don't think it is happening

I think Dak is great but I don't think he is our MVP. I think it's Zeke.

IMO, Ezekiel Elliot is the run away league MVP.

He's the whole reason that everything is clicking at the level it's clicking at and the level we clicked at in the regular season was better than anything Atlanta did.

Easy. Rodgers has only played at an MVP level for half a season, while other candidates (Matt Ryan, Zeke, Dak, Stafford) have played at an MVP level for the entire season. Recency bias is Rodgers' best friend

Same goes for Brady being a candidate, he hasn't played a full season AND his team went 3-1 in his absence
Really though, before Rodgers went on his run, he still had 22 TDs and 7 ints...that was the BAD part of his season. Then he proceeded to help his team run the table while throwing 18 TDs and 0 ints.
In the end...40 TDs, 7 ints, 104.2 rating...all with basically no running game.

Strong year, any way you slice it.

I think Ryan should probably get it though.

I think you have to take H2H into consideration.

They do it for the Heisman trophy and the MVP is basically the NFL's Heisman.

When Dallas and GB played Rodgers was not the MVP in that game. Not even close.

I really think they took any chance of Zeke winning it by sitting him the last game and 1/2. Not saying he does not deserve it because I definitely think he should be in the running but our success took an easy 150-200 yards off his total. Probably 300 because of some of the games and margins we won by.

Dak played great most of the year, but he's not an mvp. He's not the mvp on his own team. If he got hurt after Romo got healthy, I suspect the Cowboys would be in much the same position as now.

Dak rarely had to carry the team. He made some clutch plays, but the heavy lifting was usually done by the OL and EE. Frankly, I don't see how anyone even tries to make a case for DP.

Carr, Ryan, Brady, Rodgers, Mack and Elliott all have better cases, IMO.

*He's tied the most regular season wins by a rookie with Big Ben. *He has the highest passer rating for a rookie ever with 104.9. *He has the third highest TD/INT ratio in history behind only Tom Brady in 2010 and 2016 (and Tom played four fewer games this year). *He went 32/36 against Tampa Bay, which was second all time in completions with more than 30 passes thrown. *He had the most consecutive wins in franchise history with 11.

Cowboys went 4-12 with DMC (over 1k rushing top 5 in league) and the same Oline.
Rookie QB with 13-3 season and 11 game win streak??????? MAN U TRIPPIN if you think you can plug any rookie QB into this team (or any QB for that matter quick look at 2015) and generate the same or better.

The QB position is arguably the hardest position on the football team not RB. Couple that its with the Cowboys which is a hard team to succeed as a QB (ask Qunicy Carter) and the pressure with Romo (of all people) on the sidelines under the most exposure and cameras of any team in the world... BOOOOM!!!! This isn't the Browns, the Lions, the Falcons or whoever else. It's the Dallas Cowboys. Different type of pressure here son. Not for the weak at heart. You better be raised right. You best have ICE WATER IN YOUR VEINS OR YOU AREN'T GETTING OUT ALIVE!

frankly I don't see how he isn't.

The hale outta here haters!

Sure but you can't barely squeak into the playoffs and be a MVP candidate.

Packers won the division with a 10-6 record.

They would have made the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

That's not really 'squeaking' into the playoffs.

I hate the if Aaron Rodgers were on the Cowboys or if Dak were on the Packers team ... X, Y and Z would happen.

There's absolutely NO way to prove either. MVP awards aren't offered based on hypothetical scenarios. They're awarded based on ACTUAL data/stats/situations.

If Dak is worthy of the MVP, give it to him. It doesn't matter if he has a better offensive line or if you think Rodgers, Ryan or Rumpelstilskin could complete passes behind Dallas' offensive line. Dak is the quarterback, and he's making the most of his opportunity. If you can conjure the idea that he's doing well because of the offensive line and Zeke, then you're conceding he IS doing good. And since no player does it allow, he's worthy of the MVP.

We didn't know that 9-7 would get them into the postseason until the night of the last week of the season in a situation where Washington controlled the loser of the GB and Lions destiny.
