Dak should do himself a favor and asked to be traded

This is the only chance we have at getting rid of Dak is if he asks for a trade and offers to get rid of the no trade clause in his contract. As the big option he have a Dak being gone is him getting frustrated enough to no longer want to play for the Cowboys and attempt to test to see if any other NFL teams will sign him. Otherwise 2024 is just another wasted season with him as the QB. And there is a risk of him being extended although I don't think that will happen now.

Any team acquiring him will get a lame duck QB without the ability to franchise tag him. Cap hit of 28mil for the team that acquires him, so there will have to be some adjusments of salary for a team to take him without an extension. Since he has a NTC, I'm sure Dak can be very picky and sort of strong arm this FO and the other team.

I think people would be very surprised by his market. Someone would trade for him. But, it would be for a 2nd and 3rd, no firsts. And I think his extension market would be in the 35 million a year range and he’s not going to take that. Just my opinion of course. I could see a team doing like Vikings did with Kirk cousins a one or two year fully guaranteed contract. The only team signing him to a record QB contract (or close to it) is Jerry and Stephen, because they constantly over value their own players, because they think it makes them smarter then others and they have giant egos.

My hope is that Dak will see he isn't going to get extended and will get the message that he'll be benched in 2024 regardless of his contract. If the Cowboys stumble in any manner during the regular season and that will get him to be willing to rework his contract so that he'll be a better trade option for other teams to go to and so that the Cowboys won't take as big of a cap hit.

Dude don't be delusional and I'm not saying this as a Prescott fan,

I'm saying this as an NFL fan he will get a offer of a first maybe possibly a second and a third and he will get more than $35 million you are looking at this the wrong way the man is on the list as at least was a potential MVP this year look at what was given for Russell Wilson deshaun Watson and Aaron Rodgers and don't tell me that Prescott is so far below them he won't get something similar there are teams that could better utilize Prescott maybe they have a better defense because if you're blaming any of this like leaning on the offense and Prescott that game last night or all the losses this year you might want to look at Dan Quinn and the defense they were the worst consistent performers of the year the most overrated underachieving defense I've ever seen of what we were talking about expecting them coming into this year....

Prescott stop did not drop last night because of that game other people are smart enough to see there were a lot of other problems on that team that put pressure on the offense to take more risks but you're nuts if he's only gonna get offered 35 million... We literally just saw a team pay Daniel Jones $42 million we're seeing teams trade three first round picks for a guy like trade Lance and we also saw what was the going rate the last two years for players around his caliber I already mentioned and that would be what Prescott would get probably get at least one first and then a couple other ones thrown in whatever rounds but don't think that other GM's don't respect Prescott unlike a lot of our fan base....

Maybe Dak needs to be moved or move on......he is rightfully blamed for his mistakes but soaking in everybody else's issues on this team too has to be bearing. I see flaws all over the place with the team......on the field and on the sidelines. Team is an underachieving mess.

Well-thought out.

My only caveat is this: If you want to get to the playoffs pay him, but if you want to win a super bowl look somewhere else. That is all.

You have guys on here wanting Dak to be paid highest in NFL history
nobody really wants that but we also don't want five years or more of hell looking to even get back to the level that we're at with Prescott if you think it's that easy you're delusional we've won too many games to get into the top mix you need to be in the top three of the draft to find a quarterback to even have potential to get you further than Prescott...

The only way to salvage this would be if Prescott himself wanted to leave and would remove his no trade clause for certain teams and we got good draft picks for him then you might make a move like that but if you think releasing him and eating like I don't know $38 million this year and another 30M or so next year in dead cap is going to help you rebuild the team and then guess a quarterback might workout out of that list you have if you think they're going to give you 3-12 win seasons in a row , 5 of 7 years of payoff appearances, no losing seasons etc etc,

you're delusional there's gonna be some step back before you step forward years before we get this thing back right if you flat out cut Prescott you're cutting your nose off to spite your face as my dad used to say

and lastly what defense are you gonna offer Prescott I mean this new guy you're bringing in is he gonna score 40 points a game because in most of these games that we lost this year 70% of it was on the defense if you can't see that you're looking through the wrong glasses I'm not saying we have to keep Prescott but if you think the grass is greener on the other side you might want to look around the NFL some people have taken decades to find a starting quarterback that can even get you on any level that we've been the last Four Seasons...

Absolutely no one would trade anything outside a day 3 pick for him and that cap hit.

I'm pretty sure he's owed like $60+ million this upcoming season...

No one is going to take that on unless they're absolutely sure they would want to extend him.

There are certainly teams where he'd be a major upgrade, but after his performance last night, why would anyone want to take that kind of risk?

Just think of the sponsorship opportunities and deals he’d lose.
