Or "we" just realize that Dak has been struggling at the worst possible point of the season. And if it keeps up, the logical thing to do is see what Romo has before the playoffs.
Or "we" can go back to work and fix the problems

Actually the only losing season Dallas has had under Romo in essentially 10 years was 2010 and he only played 5 games and was knocked out with the lead so who knows maybe we would have been 2-4 and turned it around.

But again as usual, people forget to include facts when it comes to Tony Romo. 1 losing season as the starter. 2010, 5 games played.

True, but if this is a bottom line business, then bottom line it's time to move on. Ten years is enough to realize what he is. I'm ready to turn the page and to see what Dak is all about. He has had two bad games. How many has Tony had? Just asking.

No but are you forgetting the 8-8 seasons? If you consider those winning seasons i dont know what to tell you. Also, 3 of those were win and your in games. Remind me how those went again?

Where did he say the 8-8 seasons were winning seasons? What he said was "one LOSING season". 8-8 is not a losing season. He never said they were winning seasons, either.

Reading is such an important skill for an adult to possess.

Yeah it sure is. And in my next post I referred to 8 and 8 as a losing season in my eyes. Reading is real important. Try reading all the info before posting next time. Thanks.

That is the million dollar question.

Not really a mystery, if you look at more than the raw numbers. It comes down to first-down production and the resulting second-down situation.

Dallas has 11 first-down snaps in the second half. The last two were in the two-minute offense, so disregard them and look at the other 9. Of those 9 Dallas ran the ball with Elliott 7 times. His longest run on those first-down plays was 4 yards. That means Dallas faced every second-down snap needing at least 6 yards for a first-down, and on most it was 8+. The way the NYG were selling out against the run, those situations are obviously passing downs.

You folks criticizing the coaching staff for not running more would be howling louder if Linehan had them running on those second- down and third-down and longs.

Yeah, Zeke only had nine touches in the second half. People that really understand the game would say the Giants' defense was the reason for that.

Nice try, but no...

Post #27 - "If you consider those winning seasons i dont know what to tell you." Once again, I ask you, where did he say those 8-8 seasons were "winning" seasons, as you assert he did? He made it crystal clear in his first post when he said "one LOSING season".

Another question...where did I say anything about your definition of a winning season? That's right, I didn't.

Comprehension is your friend.

Defenses wear down in the 4th quarter. We were very successful in the first half with running the ball. You could tell on the yards Zeke gained. I am pretty shure Zeke would have broke one and that is all we needed.
Apparently passing the ball didn't help.

Defenses only wear down when the opposition is sustaining drives. Credit that to Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo, who made a couple of key adjustments after half. Once the Giants knew Dak wasn't accurate that night, he had his DEs get upfield and wide (to cut off the edge). He also had his LBers sell out against anything between the tackles. There literally were no running lanes. Had Dak been accurate, the Giants would have had to respect that (especially the LBers), which would have opened up the running lanes between the tackles. That in turn would have forced the DEs back inside, opening up the screen options and the "wide" running lanes. Dak's not being able to hit the broad side of a stadium Sunday night had a "domino" effect on every aspect of the offense.

Look for Tampa to TRY to do the same thing. If Dak is accurate, they will not be able to.

Dak the constant pro. He has lead a team that only won 4 games last season to 11 wins this season. Which in the mind of some isn't good enough. It's not like last season was the first losing season. Over the last 20 years we have had plenty. The current backup qb that could replace Dak was part of many of those losing years. So please Dak, brush it off both shoulders & stay the pro you have shown to be.

Part of being the QB of the Cowboys is the ability to block out fans and media. It is amazing that an 11-2 team is dealing with this but it will not subside until Dak and this team go out and show it on the field. Within a 16 games season for any QB to hit a rough patch is not uncommon, hell even Rodgers has had some rough games this season but battled his way back. It is what it is and now it is Dak who will have to stand up and shut his critics up.

Good for Dak. I'm pulling for him
But get your facts straight on Romo.

Romo has never been the QB for most of the games in any losing season with Dallas.
No losing seasons...not one

  • 5 winning seasons
  • 3 .500 seasons
  • zero losing seasons

You guys crack me up
