Dak thought Milton would be claimed too

Yes. What you analyze in preseason for a QB is going through progressions, decision making, moving the ball consistently, making the smart throws, stuff like that. It's not about statistics.

Milton did everything they asked . He got the ball in the end zone . Yes stats tell you is this player progressing or not . In his case yes. I have no idea what the Jets Dolphins Browns are thinking other then they are bottom feeders for a reason

Like I said you have bottom feeders and I don’t pretend to know what they think . Simple Milton beat out Howell but was cut. Tell you what I think Milton is a much better QB then either Rush or Lance who both saw action here . I just hope 60 million stays healthy all year

No, he didn't beat out Howell. Howell was miles better at going through progressions and understanding the playbook.

Rush and Lance suck.

you and Milton will always have that.

as for what the rest of the board doesnt understand, when Dak goes down and most QBs do, Sam can navigate and win games. Stats barely show the real story and in real football games you have to go with facts and not stats. So Milton threw a ball, Howell understands and can complete the job. Thats it. and every GM or offensive coach can see that. thats why Howell has a job and Milton doesnt. did the stats fool all the offensive coaches as well? did they all suddenly suck? no.

5-13 Howell does not excite
 
1) Glad we got aback a guy they are optimistic of his abilties and potential

2) He passed thru the entire NFL waivers meaning no NFL teams were not at all interested to pick him up and add him as key backup to their 53 roster

3) the point that we traded for him, invested time, coaching for him, yet we cut him only to end up on pur PS, means we must still
see him as a "Project " than a even legit Cooper Rushs type backup, does not speak well for Milton or this club.

4) DId Milton suddenty saw his stock and promise totally sap and drop out of favor in just one lone preseason game vs Saints ?

he killed it in pre season, im going to chalk that up as a season winner.

what was asked of him? dont turn the ball over? get it to a reciever? he acted like a back up, didnt progress as much didnt do all of what the coaches wanted. its not a conspiracy sometimes guys dont hit the marks. it happened this time and the team made the correct decision. we all move on

He didn't go through progressions or move the ball consistently.

So, he did not do everything asked of him.

It's not a competition so much as a chance for the coaches to assess how well he would do against NFL quality DBs.

Truly, what does anyone expect Dak to say besides this. Lets say he said Milton's not worth much or he would have been claimed. If he did say that after the boys put him on the practice squad it would have been the lead on NFL Network. Nothing else he could say.
