I said it in the game thread, but I feel Dak is looser when Dez isn't in the game and the tempo seems much smoother.

I know you all heard what Romo was saying about the Dak to Dez chemistry. He basically was saying that Dak keeps leading Dez, when Dez wants the jump ball, and he's 100% right. I posted a tweet with all of Dez's TDs from Romo, and they were filled with those type of throws.

Let's keep that in mind the next time you Dez haters say he runs bad routes and he sucks...
Dez averages 17M per year.

He shouldn't need special ball placement.

I don't see Dez really out-jumping anyone anymore -- certainly not anywhere to the extent that we saw in his prime.

Heck today he had a <kind of> high ball that he jumped for skip off his hands.

I don't think throwing Dez Bryant jump balls is the solution to anything.
Its like you totally missed the point Romo and I were making..Dak’s ball placement on those throws are poor and he’s not giving Dez a chance to make the play

Never 17m

14m AAY for his extension............2m AAY before the extension.........5.2m for his career
What does he average this year?

His bonus money averages 4M per and his salary this season is 13M.

Agreed, but Twill has been mostly non-existent thus year. So 1 decent game is.. meh.

No argument from me on that. But Dez sure sounded like he wasn't very happy his teammates outshines him today. He will be upset all week over being less productive than the other receivers and we will try to placate him next week by throwing him 25 balls.

I think he seems looser because he can just throw it to the open guy instead of placating Dez.

You know that is BS....... you know how the cap works and what the word average means

Stop dissembling to make your weak point

His cap hit was 17m this year but it was 7m in 2015 when he signed the deal

Did you miss the games we didn't have him last year? This offense was crisp. We don't need Dez at all to succeed. That has been proven.
This is utter-nonsense.

Let Zeke miss these next 6 games and we go 4-2. You gonna say we dont need Zeke to succeed?

You picked timeframes and said he never averaged 17M in any timeframe.

Technically in the timeframe of this season it is 17M but I'm fine using the 14M number as his average.

Dak needs to aim a bit shorter with Dez

There is no denying Dak's ball placement to Dez could be better at times, but that's what happens when you are forcing the ball to him every other pass.

All team with those type of wideouts force the ball.

The issue is dez’s Inconsistency in routes.

I bet they’d be a lot more creative if they could trust him to run more than 3-4 routes.

And don’t get me wrong 88 is one of my favorite current Cowboys, but we should be honest about what he is

Yes. Dez' strength is literally his strength. Once he gets the ball in his hands he is capable of dragging the pile. But he is shoddy in his craft. He runs poor routes.

He is also a bit weak minded. Dez has value. He can get jump balls with the best of them but placement must be very precise with little margin for error.

I just don't get why the team tolerates poor route running from a guy it is paying $17 million per year. Its really the coaches' fault for insisting the ball be forced to Dez. But he acts like a child if they don't force him the ball and around and around and around we go. I can't imagine how far T.O. would be in the ditch with these coaches.
