OK maybe not but I do think the last attempt to get out of this debacle is a playoff team with a starter going down in camp. This is it or Jerry will get nothing for a starting QB or he will pay Dak $55 million per. The choices are grim.
Only way I see Dak accepting a trade would be to a playoff team without an extension and a pay increase this year. Making him a FA still next season. Not many teams if any would have the cap space available to make that happen.

Not sure what Jerry would get in return for that, but if Dak walks Jerry basically gets an early 4th round pick next year.

And how many years are you willing to be a 5 win team? Because they will not draft a QB high enough for it to really matter. Unless they get lucky like the last two
I get it. I do. I just don’t think 31 year old Dak is worth 4-$220mm.

Thank you for the adult answer. I threw out the post to see what people think and in keeping with the Forum these days the thinskinners get all frothy.

I don't think Dak, by most of his own comments, cares one bit about going to a contender. Where he chooses to go will come down to which team is willing to pay him what he wants.

Let me dream a little.

BTW that 3rd round pick is actually a 4th rounder. Stop inflating the value of compensatory picks.
No...a 3rd round pick is a 3rd round pick...no matter how low in the round it is. You don't get to have your own definition of what a 3rd round pick is.

If the pick falls on Friday night...and the NFL says it's a 3rd rd pick, "WhyJerry" cant re-define it as a 4th.

That said.....Dak sucks.

What incentive does Minnesota have for this deal? They just drafted a promising QB in the first round.

I’m sure him getting injured has changed their plans, but I highly doubt their plan is now “let’s trade 2 more first round picks for a guy like Prescott”.

They could just roll with Darnold this season, get a top-10 draft pick in every round next year, and use that to inject the team with talent when McCarthy recovers.

I did watch the LA game and commented on it but go ahead and lie.
Preseason game full of scrubs. There is literally nothing that can be taken from a game like that other than the few who play and stand a chance at the 53.

Fun fact.

I met someone today named Zak Prescott

He was a salesman.

Coincidentally, he has won as many Divisional playoff games as Dak Prescott has.
So what you're saying is he has about the same playing experience as Trey Lance.

Trance definitely sold the Niners.

Jerry likes shopping at Ross.
