I will add this also. Check out the 6 pics slide show. They give some tidbits from practice.
Read the info on pic #3 about Joe Milton. He had a good day. Had better accuracy. Completed 7 of 8 passes, some long throws. His incompletion was an INT by Damon Clark.

I never said he did. Williams is a 3rd down specialist that comes in on passing downs.

Micah is a 3rd down specialist who plays on all 3 downs.

I heard Milton stared down the receiver, ending in an easy INT by Clark.

I also heard Will Grier had a better pass completions percentage with 0 turnovers.

I think Grier was just 2 for 2, though. As a young QB, Milton probably does need to look off defenders. Hopefully, he can learn it.

I agree. He’s had some bone head plays but he’s also shown he can be disruptive

No, I think Milton will be. We traded a pick for Milton, while Grier cost us nothing. I think Milton will receive the majority of the playing time in the preseason because he needs it while Grier doesn't (as much), and then will be No. 2 unless he just sucks.

That also gives us the possibility of taking advantage of the fact of him being able to run with the ball to use him on short-yardage sneaks, possibly our version of the tush push, instead of Dak.

I think Grier might end up being kept on the practice squad for the first three games before we have to decide whether to keep him on the roster. And I think if Milton plays bad in the preseason, we might seek a different backup answer. Grier has had several seasons in the league and has done nothing with them.
