Blablabla. Show, don't tell. In games that count. Oh and don't detract when it's on. You're talking about #1 WR duties here as said in the starting post, not a development WR, which he is. You homers know no limits.
No, I'm not. I said what I said. He is damn good receiver today.

Do not underestimate the homers that frequent this site.

This year WR3 and next year WR2. I've been a huge fan of Tolbert since he was drafted. His rookie season he was called a bust and wasted draft pick by many in here. I kept saying no for a reason. The expectations put on rookies are to high sometimes. And when we learned how he was mismanaged his rookie season (sound familiar???) that explained everything. Now that he understands the offense look at him shine. I think the WR corp is the deepest position on the team with CB being right up there with them.
Agree, solid with Lamb and Cooks, and we have a lot of ceiling left in the WR ranks, and Tolbert may be leading the pack, great camp competition there.

There is no question that Tolbert improved a lot last year and hopefully he improves even more this season.

That said, a #1 receiver is a game changer, not just a receiver with good hands or speed or route running.

That's not meant to criticize Tolbert, but he (like most receivers) are not at that level.

Maybe that will change at some point, but for now, I would be happy to see him pushing Cooks for the #2 receiver slot.
He was improved. To the tune of just north of 200 yards receiving on the year. That isn’t even #3 material on how much we throw the ball….

I was talking about his play, not his stats.

There are only so many targets to go around and CeeDee was getting a gigantic amount of them last season.

You haven’t seen him play this year now have you?
It would be a leap for him to be a #3, bigger to become the #2, but after watching him for a few years it would be a miracle for him to be a #1 on any NFL team. That would be one terrible receiving corps.

WR is one of the weakest positions on the team. If Lamb ever misses a game who on this offense would scare a defense? Turpin, Brooks, Tolbert? I don’t think so. Cooks isn’t a #1 WR. He’s a solid #2 as long as you can make sure they never have to roll coverage his way.

And these guys are getting open because CB 3 and beyond is one of the weakest in the league. They’ve tried to give Jourdan Lewis’ job away for 4 years now and they can’t find any long term answer. Right now the nickel DB is Lewis or a rookie. If Bland or Diggs go down idk what they do.

He’s not going to be asked to be the #1.

Tolbert could be a good example about writing a player off after their rookie season. If he keeps working hard and making it plays it will translate into success.

It might be the strongest position on the team. They can rotate a legit 5 WR's and a couple more behind them aren't slouches either.
Legit 5 WRs? Based on some camp videos against other 4th-7th CBs?

What is the current career numbers of all guys after Cooks?

They’re all UFAs or make it or break it 3rd round picks.
