Young/Montana

Favre/Rodgers.

Both transitions were problematic at best. This one figures to go much more smoothly.

You left off Aikman/Cunningham

I'll never forget hearing our own fans boo Aikman his final season. It's a cruel game.

Such cruel irony that the best thing for this franchise turns out to be the worst thing for Tony Romo.

I don't think this franchise is doing what is best for the franchise. They may think they are, but I think they are wrong. I think the best thing for the franchise is also the best for Tony.

Dak Prescott: Tony Romo is a great model for me

A day after Tony Romo conceded that the Cowboys are now Dak Prescott’s team, Prescott praised Romo for providing veteran leadership that has helped him succeed.

“He’s been a great leader, a great model for me to look up to and watch every day,” Prescott said. “It was an emotional statement for him to say that, but I”m not surprised. I know how much he cares about this game, how much it means to him, how much he puts into it every day, how much this team means to him.”

Prescott said he doesn’t need the Cowboys to be viewed as his team, as he views the Cowboys as “our team.”

“This is everybody’s team. It’s not just about the quarterback position,” Prescott said.

Just as Romo handled the situation with class yesterday, Prescott handled it with class today. And starting tomorrow, there won’t be any quarterback controversy to talk about at all: Prescott is the starter and Romo is the backup, and that won’t change. Both quarterbacks know that.

Why won't there be any QB controversy tomorrow? Because this moron says so? How convenient. Uh yeah, there is a big QB controversy -- we've got a HOF-level QB who is not being allowed to compete along with everyone else. And we're not talking about simply giving him his job back, we're talking about being allowed to compete for the job. You can almost feel the biased agenda of Prescott's supporters just oozing out of these articles. Prescott is the starter and that's that. LOL.

You won't find a bigger Tony Romo fan than me, but until Dak's play slips or the team starts losing, there's no decision to be made.

We have the NFL's best record and a QB playing as well as just about any in the league. Dak's QBR (ESPN) is 2nd only to Tom Brady.

Still plenty of football left this season so we'll see what happens. Dak will need to stay healthy AND keep playing well in order to keep the job. If Tony gets on the field, I don't think he'll give the job back (barring injury).

I'm not a big believer in QBR, and I don't think the record dictates that you can't change the QB. I think they're making a mistake and may screw up a great opportunity. I hope I'm wrong, or that I'm proven right soon enough to make a difference.

Barring any major injuries, Dak & Zeke will have us playing in the Super Bowl THIS YEAR.

Feel free to screenshot this.
