Dak Top 5. Let's talk argument against it

Dak's been playing 4 years longer.
Statistically speaking Dak is better here too.

Accounting for injuries for both players Daks come from behind % is 16.08% vs Hurts 15.62%

As a comparison only Mahomes tops Dak at 16.94% of comebacks in games played.

That's nice. That and $5 will get you a cheap cup of coffee. But it won't make gross stats for 6 years and 10 years equivalent.

This fanbase is so starved for success I think it’s caused brain rot to some of you

QBs don’t win championships teams do. It takes multiple units and complimentary play.

If the offense sputters it’s not always because the QB makes 60 mil and it’s his fault that just stupid. And when the offense is successful it’s isn’t because the qb it’s because of the team

I think there’s a faction of this fanbase that want the team to fail so they can push their narrative

Yesterday was a huge win despite their now 0-4 record the Texans have a pretty good defense and they have been a playoff team the last 3 years anyhow.

This team has a lot to overcome. Defense is bad, the OLine is up and down with a turnstile at RT. Coaching leaves alot to be desired at times. We don’t run the ball particularly well and don’t stick with it enough to see if it will get better. But they have a top WR corps and that’s the strength of the team and a top 10 most likely 5 QB play at the moment. They went into reliant and got the dub. Enjoy the win. The amount of people that get triggered on this qbs success and failures are astounding.

My MVP yesterday was my boy CeeDee!! And can we leave Ferguson in houston

Time to be ready for the Bucs they will bring additional challenges.

After Mahomes/Burrows/Purdy/Allen/Stafford, there's a clusterfudge from 6-15. Put Dak in there anywhere you like, does it really matter?

Maye is also edging up the board, and well then there's Jackson. Caleb Williams has shown signs. Lawrence is starting to look really solid. Jayden can play when he's not hurt. Bo Nix might be a stud, hard to say at this point. Even Bryce Young is starting to really put up some numbers. And how about Darnold? Has looked great for 2 seasons now. And where do we put Goff? Cousins is tearing it up in LV.

Put Dak in top 5, put him in next 5, or the next 5, whatever floats your boat.

Valid question. Are we rating them this season only, or career? Purdy is easy top 5 this season, prolly top 3. Barbie playing very well. Maye also. Bryce Young is too.

If it's career, then Rodgers and Mahomes and Allen top the list, followed by Stafford and Goff or Dak or Burrow or Purdy or Barbie or Nix.

I’m not sure where to say this so I’ll put it here. Yes at the end of the day you will be judged on your hardware (or lack thereof) but I want to give Dak his flowers. Coming into the league he was a completely different player not only from a polished standpoint but also from a play style. Dak may be the last of a dying breed of a pure cerebral, pocket passing, floor general style QB. Guys coming into the league now seem so far removed from the guys from yesterday. Their athleticism is exciting and interesting, but I will always appreciate a guy who can throw the ball anywhere on the field. I hope that Dak and company can eventually get over the hump because I would hate to see another talented QB waste their career here.

Kudos Dak not only this game but taking you profession and position serious. The hard work is on display for all of us to see

If Dak could run he’d be unreal.

He’s really good but the best QBs, besides Stafford, can run.

Mahomes
Allen
Jackson
Purdy
Dak

Alt Lawrence
Why does this matter I mean I like that I'm not a dak hater but I also loved Romo they both wear the star they both had great careers up to this point and Prescott can add to it What does the rankings really matter they don't matter at all what matters is Prescott's playing great now two years in a row he's had several years where he's been playing at MVP level and they're wasting his talent they're wasting this 2014 Romo friendly time of Prescott's career They wasted it last year how could he say not I mean 2024 yes he got hurt they didn't start the season well on offense but there was real reasons for that the offensive line was absolutely garbage the play calling was garbage the run game was garbage and the defense was garbage so yes that team started out like garbage prescott got hurt and they pretty much were garbage,

So you can throw that one away but when you look at most of these years they wasted his rookie year he was rookie of the year and the offense played great against Green Bay in that playoff game Constantly had to come back just like every game we've seen in the last two years But they did it in the playoffs they kept coming back they either tied the game or took the lead and they allowed Aaron Rodgers to just ruin it and that's on the defense again that's on the special teams again for not blocking that kick in that Green Bay game there's opportunities lost that we're wasting another franchise quarterbacks career and that's all that needs to be said it doesn't matter where he ranks we have one of the better quarterbacks in the league no matter the ranking and you're wasting it this is Romo wasted his career now Daks wasting his career and that is why guys like Stafford leave and go find their ring somewhere else..

Yes I'm ranting but some of y'all really post too much about Prescott knowing where it's gonna lead the same debates the same people are gonna take the same sides but I'm telling you right now both quarterbacks had great careers I don't where you rank them how you want to name them and label them They were franchise quarterbacks and you're wasting their careers it's why a guy like Sam Darnold was bad most of his career and goes and gets him a ring that's what Prescott should have done because his fan base doesn't appreciate him..

Is that the reason we lost regular season games that were big or playoff games that were big and you won't change my mind I don't care what you think you saw the team let him down. The front office let him down the coaches have let him down Some of his teammates have let him down..

He's arguably top 5 for sure, been so for years now.

Where he lands in the top 10 doesn't really matter though. What matters is that everyone should realize that the QB isn't the problem with this team. Give Dak a situation where he doesn't have to carry or be the hero, and we can win. An average defense and a better running game for starters.

Everyone on this list----Except Dak--- has played in the Conference finals.

That is true, but it takes team efforts to get there.

I could easily make a list like this..... Trent Dilfer, Nick Foles, Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon, Jim Kelly.

Then follow it up by saying, everyone on that list won a Superbowl EXCEPT Jim Kelly.....

So what does that mean? What does that prove according to your logic?

His acceleration is terrible. No escapability.
He’s not as elusive as Romo and definitely not as quick as he was as a younger guy, but if he can at least take off 1-3 times a game it helps out a ton to extend a drive

There's not a list this week that had him lower than 7. He's gonna move up this week, even...probably up to everyone's Top 5. He had 350 yards and a clutch last minute touchdown pass.
Lists are for losers.

I have never seen Dak play as good as Nick Foles did in that Super Bowl. Just saying.
