Dak top ten plays

Agreed, the question is why do most of our big plays revolve around scrambling and buying more time? Why aren't they just good scheme's that allows Dak to throw downfield from the pocket?

Why, because the "D" knows what we are doing and they cover that up. The only big plays come when the receivers break their routes because the QB is under pressure and do something different.
I mean, yeah, sometimes that's what happens. No doubt. And I'm not sure how much our scheme changes from year to year but it never "looks" different. I do know last season the staff did a bad job filling in spots we had starters injured or out of games. No one on the entire offense did great.

in order to do that you gotta block and keep a clean pocket.
many of dak's best plays in 2016 featured him stepping up into clean pockets.

Usually when he steps up, he takes off. His eyes drop from the receivers and start looking for blockers.

He got antsy in the pocket last year. It's understandable, and it happens to a lot of QBs. It virtually ended the careers of Jim Everett, Marc Bulger, Jake Plummer, and countless others. They just lost their nerve to play the position like you have to.

I've always admired guys that will continue to stand in there after taking multiple hits over and over. It's a VERY rare quality in quarterbacks.

Dak has to learn to do this, or we've already seen his best.

We're gonna miss Butler, should have played him more last year.
I actually liked Butler. Like other players, I don't think he was used correctly or enough. Maybe he's a d-bag pain in the neck, I dunno. But he made some good catches and he has speed deep. I didn't care for his PR work, but maybe that's why he's being replaced?

Ok for those that need an explanation. This clip of some of daks best plays where you say he is under pressure is no different than any QB in the NFL. Your statement that Dak was under significant pressure is a glimpse of what every quarterback deals with on every play so stop making excuses for Dak.

How many QB's in the league last year got sacked 8 times in one game? By nearly the same player?

Wow Is it really that difficult to root for the qb of your team? Dak gets more criticism from you clowns than Brandon Weeden did.

I'm replying to you saying these are just clips and it doesn't mean he was pressured. He was pressured plenty of times when Tyron went down.

That is not what I said, please go back and read again.

How is that not true? We are watching a clip that is supposed to have Daks best plays. How many of his best plays came from atlanta game? So his best plays and still under significant pressure and that is the norm for an NFL quarterback. You are confusing the post with what happened vs atlanta, that is not the case.

What I took just from those plays was how bad overall the OL was last year. Tyron isn't right. Everyone else looked poor or middling even Zach and Frederick. Me thinks they ate their own cheese a little last year.
