Dak vs Goff

So what exactly are you saying he’s better than Dak? I hope you’re not trying to spin that. Lol

He better than Dak if Dak doesn't run the ball, which he hasn't in the last month or so. Dak ability to escape in the pocket allow him to keep pace with Goff. Dak and Cousins both have better # than Goff but that because both love to pad their stat, like versus the Broncos where Dak got 2 touchdowns even after the game was long over. Goff has never been known for a stat padding QB. In their game last year vs the Bills, Goff drove the Rams down 28-3 to 31-3 (28 unanswer points), which would be one of the greatest regular season comeback of all time, only for the defense to choke it away. Goff doesn't do garbage time.

Goff with this roster would go deep into the playoff. Brandin Cooks got more yards with Goff as his QB than Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Let that sink in!

Wilson won a SB with the Seahawks, he was only a game-manager at that point. He has never won while being the man. And I never gave him credit for that SB.
He also blew a sure SB win against the pats. Throwing that pass instead of simply turning around and handing it to there beast of a rb that would have scored easily. Heck even brady was taking his helmet off thinking it was over.

We’re dealing with a bizarre fan base here. Carson Wentz has looked pretty good in Indy so we haven’t heard the last of Dak vs Wentz. We thought the comparisons to Goff and Wentz were a thing of the pass but not with this fan base. If we lose to Washington of Sunday someone will start a Dak vs Heinicke thread. Lol
I usually try to avoid threads that I have nothing positive to add...but it's getting hard. Dak gotta turn water to wine to win over some cats

We will see, but ever since they got Reynolds, he look like a completely different QB and has not had a bad game since then. MCDC coaching and the Lions O-line getting flagged for 15 holding calls prevent Goff from beating the Bears.

The Lions didn't let him throw the ball until MCDC started to call plays. So far Goff is progressing with every game. Lynn is going to get fire. He has his flaws of course, but other than escapability in the pocket with Dak, Goff is a better QB. And lately, Dak is becoming a statue in the pocket.

The Rams were loaded with talent when they got rid of him. It’s obvious they didn’t think he was very good.

Brady is the luckest QB in history, but he also the only QB that has ever taken massive discount every year. Simply put, no QB in history wants to win more than Brady. Meanwhile Dak held out from getting pay 30 millions a year and helping out his team. We ain't winning JACK SQUAD with Dak as our QB. We have a 5.5 years sample size already.

Jared Goff outplayed Kirk Cousins and led the Lions on a game winning drive without his #1 weapon and RB in DeAndre Swift. Goff was also without his pro-bowl center in Frank Ragnow. In fact, the Lions O-line has never been healthy together for the year. The moment Taylor Decker came back, Ragnow went out with a season ending injury.

This beg the question. Has Dak ever done what Goff did, under the most dired of situation? Has Dak ever won a game without Zeke while being the underdog? Has Dak ever won a game without a #1 or #2 receiver? Has Dak ever won a game when the Cowboys season was on the line? The answer is clearly no, because he is not capable of that.

Anthony Lynn is an awful coordinator and coach, and the Lions got their first tie and win with Dan Campbell calling the plays, and he awful himself. Goff won inspite of MCDC coaching, he carried his coach and saved his career. It's no surprise that the moment the Lions got Goff a starting receiver (#3) in Reynolds, Goff has looked like a different QB entirely. He looked like 2018 Goff, being clutch, and without McVay. And despite not having a starting reciever (prior to Reynold), Goff has gotten the Lions multiple game winning drives only for the defense to allow the other teams to get a walk-off win.

The Lions would go O-17 with Dak Prescott as their QB. Don't let Dak's stat fool you, this Cowboys team is literally carrying him. No one does less with more.

Now imagine if Goff had Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup

Goff had good WRs in LA.

He kinda stunk.

Silly thread.

Jared Goff isn’t even close to the QB Dak is. Lol Goff had a great roster with the Rams and they dumped him. Not wasting anymore time with this it’s far too ridiculous.

You got that right. lol Goff’s response to the trade was at least he was going to a team that wants him. It took two first round picks for them to take him and his contract off the Rams hands.
Yeah....never been a fan but I find it hard not to root for Dan Campbell. They are just a mess personnel wise.

Well brady is the goat but he is smart enough to know he needs or wants talent around him. Don’t hurt when your wife has as much money as you do. And part of Daks contract is on JJ. He did have a chance to sign him earlier for cheaper money. And then you have Daks agent that pulled out of a handshake deal a few years ago after we played the fins.

The Rams are an elite franchise, they would have traded Dak as well. Stafford has better # than Goff, but the result aren't that much different. Cousins has 27 touchdowns and 3 picks, and the Viking fans want to get rid of him. Cousins like Dak only put up empty calories. There was even talk that the Rams might not even make the playoff this year. They are lucky that they got to play the Jaguars.

Goff has also played better than Stafford last month as well given his team roster.

If you watch that divisional game, it was Goff and Akers that kept the Rams in the game, while the #1 defense completely collapsed. Goff with no thumb beat the Seahawks in the WC round.

I think he’s terrible and mediocre on a good day.

Wasn’t a fan of his during the draft process at all.
Nobody was spouting this crap when we were 6-1. You are entitled to your opinion. That's what the forum is all about. The Dak bashing does get old though. jmho

Do a poll - Who would you rather have, Dak or the QB that didn't know if the sun set in the east or west?

Bawahahaha
Sorry to laugh
But dak is so superior to goff, IMHO

Yup the most important factors toward a winning franchise is the owner. The Chargers despite all of their talent since the Brees/Rivers days never won anything because of their owner. Jerry wants to win but he wants to win his own way, so he not trying to win at all cost. But with Dak no trade clause, we are stuck with Dak for at least 3 more years. 3 more brutal years while we continue to lose Gallup or Cooper...and more talent because Dak is beyond overpaid.

And I was applauding the job he was doing and admitting that he was at a level I didn’t think he was capable of.

What I’m seeing now is the QB I’ve seen his entire career.
