Dak vs Goff

People talking about how bad the Lions oline is and they are currently ranked in front of the Cowboys in pass block win rate.

110%. Goff's problem is all inside his head, Dak's problem is physical. It much easier to fix mental than physical. This is the same reason why Lamar Jackson will never be a good QB. How can you fit a square peg in a round hole? On top of that Goff's ceiling is much higher than Dak.

Goff with Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup would be unreal!

Now Goff under pressure is awful mind you, but at least it predictable. Get him a good O-line like Brady had in New England, and watch him take whatever teams he on far into the playoff.

Dak isn't as predictable. This team has everything, yet Dak did his best to give the game away to the Saints. He just so inconsistent. One moment he dropping dimes to Gallup, and the next, he can't even throw a 5 yard slants to Browns for a first down.

You can fix Goff by believing in him and developing him. How do you fix Dak when he limited as a QB?

Only recently since they got Taylor Decker back, but they lost their pro-bowl center for the season a game before that.

If you can get Dak's mechanics back to his pre injury status, he is a top 5 QB.
His qb ranking pre injury bears this out.

True, but he has yet to sustain it for an entire season. Now teams have game-tape on him...post ACL. He is too inconsistent for what we are paying him. But this can be said for a lot of QB's in the league. Lamar Jackson also look great in the beginning of the season as well, now he has one of the worst QBR in the league if I'm not mistaken.

Like Dak, Ravens aren't reaching another SB with Action Jackson as their QB. All teams have to do is blitz Jackson and its over. All teams have to do is shut down the Cowboys running lane and we are likely to lose.
 
I'm surprised so many of you have been sucked in by this troll post! What a waste of time, this guy obviously has agendas that are unhealthy because no matter how he tries to spin it, he is just waiting to fail over and over... Thankfully we have the ignore option..

Except I'm not making any excuse for Goff. We lose Smith for many games and everyone is using that excuse for Dak's poor performance, meanwhile Goff is missing Decker (most of the season), Ragnow (half the season), and he improving every game. No one, not even Lions fans are using O-line injuries as an excuse for Goff. Goff didn't have a full O-line and still beat a much better Vikings team without Swift to boot.

It's no surprise that the moment the Lions got Goff a starting receiver (#3) in Reynolds, Goff has looked like a different QB entirely. He looked like 2018 Goff, being clutch, and without McVay. And despite not having a starting reciever (prior to Reynold), Goff has gotten the Lions multiple game winning drives only for the defense to allow the other teams to get a walk-off win.

The Lions would go O-17 with Dak Prescott as their QB. Don't let Dak's stat fool you, this Cowboys team is literally carrying him. No one does less with more.

Now imagine if Goff had Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup :eek:

Oh my god.. you have to trolling everyone here. Goff is an absolute terrible QB. The Rams took at 22 million dollar cap hit just to trade him. McVay was telling him where to throw threw his earpiece until Bill showed that Goff had no clothes in the SuperBowl.
I am not the biggest Dak fan at all.. see all my history of don't pay Dak. Dak has proven to be better than Wentz & Goff.

No no someone pointed out the fact that Detroits o-line has a better win% on pass blocking and you started making a comment on why its "Good" but has been bad..you certainly are using the bad o-line play to cover Goff ....

Dak is not better than Wince and Goff. He has the better team but that is about it, and he get garbage time stats like vs the Broncos even though the game was out of reach.

McVay wasn't in Goff headset when he beated the Vikings. McVay isn't doing much better with Stafford than with Goff mind you, same 8-4 result. McVay also has a massive ego and take all the credits for the win, while Goff takes all of the credit for the loss.

No comment on who makes future SBs, but.........

Jackson had an epic year in 2019 , but it's a bit irritating when some in the media talk about him as an MVP guy THIS year.
I'm sure it's because he is exciting to watch, so they overlook how average (or below) he has been overall this year.
  • 28th in the league in Total TDs-Total Turnovers (so rushing and passing)
  • 23rd in Passer rating
  • 16th in ESPN QBR (includes elements of rushing)
  • worst in the league in 4th quarter turnovers

how is that an MVP

btw, he was at or near the top in every single one of those categories the year he did earn MVP. His 2019 was amazing...and I doubt he ever sees that again due to league adjustments. Few would.

All of you who do nothing but ridicule his every move, have crazy unrealistic expectations, and don’t recognize a true leader when you see one, better never ever ever ever be happy if he ever wins a super bowl. I mean the same thing happen for Cam Newton as well. Meanwhile HoF QB like Brees has never even won one. Mobility help a lot but it's only temporary. Once a team get game-tape on you and you can't adjust, it pretty much over for mobile QB.

Crazy unrealistic expectation? If you are being paid 40 millions a year, I expect a NFCCG at the minimal. I expect you to be able to carry your team through injuries. Dak will never win a SB, because he is too inconsistent as a QB, and if we were to win one, it be like Wilson on the Seahawks where he was only a game-manager. Hell Jimmy G went to the SB, so it not out of the realm of possibility for Dak.
