I realize one year is never enough. We can't tell the future. Things change. Based on his mechanics and decision making, do you think this guy will be better than Dak moving forward? Ignoring age and contracts. Just strictly on the field affect.
Maybe these are unwarranted fears. However, I can't shake this feeling GB may have somehow found another franchise QB capable of winning a SB.
I am hoping he will just be a Baker Mayfield/Jimmy G caliber QB.
NO and IDC..why ask ? You all do remember that Prescott his rookie year with no time on the bench no time to learn fourth round pick 13 and 3 rookie of the year played very well against Green Bay they lost because the defense the next year we lost because the defense we lost this year mostly because of the defense I mean there's other problems along the offensive line no run game no help and here we are keep making ridiculous comps on how to get rid of Prescott to improve the team when you know that's gonna be quite the opposite in my opinion
just like all this talk giving CJ Stroud so much credit look the kid looks great he's done very well but his defense has also been great his coaching has been top notch their game plans especially on defense but also he has weapons but it isn't anything Prescott didn't do I mean if Prescott would have had that kind of defensive effort in his first playoff game he would have won I mean why are we having these conversations I realized it's eight years later but we were just talking about Prescott at least being considered an MVP this year and now you're trying to compare him to other players around the league for what all you've been doing is dogging the Cowboys for three days now listen this team collapsed from inside out because of defense because of the offensive line the run game Prescott first interception you gonna blame that on him Brandon cooks got ran through his back by the defensive back also grabbed his shoulder and pulled him to get the leverage to get that interception and it wasn't called and we can live with that but that's not on Prescott and they were talking about breaking down the other interception where there was a breakdown in communication he threw the ball where he thought the receiver was gonna break he never broke to that spot and it got intercepted..
it happens we've seen quarterbacks all the time make mistakes in games last year Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen both had over 3 turnovers in their games and their teams won I saw Matthew Stafford lead the league in interceptions and then in the Super bowl he throws 2 and they still won this is a team problem not a quarterback problem.
I mean you want to have a real conversation let's talk about the rest of the team especially the defense that's the problem here more so than ever go break down all the losses this year and then also go breakdown the Seattle Seahawks game and you tell me how a quarterback is expected to play perfect and have to score on every drive and not punt in order to in a game that's the problem it's been more of the defense they don't trust the defense so much they start pressing on offense and start forcing the football... The offense almost has to get out of its game plan so fast to make up for bad defense it's incredible we're having all these talks about quarterbacks how about let's talk about linebackers and defensive lineman and safeties and all the wrong defenses being called and played big block like they were playing 11 on seven against us last Sunday our defense looked lost they look like 4 men short...
