Dak: 3rd, 17th, 14th, 10th, DNQ, 3rd, 16th, 2nd, 28th Average = 11.6
Romo: 5th, 5th, 8th, 8th, DNQ, 4th, 10th, 8th, 1st Average = 6.1

Versus his peers, Romo was simply a better passer than Dak. Romo never finished out of the top 10 in passer rating. Dak has finished outside of the top 10 in half of his seasons.

see I can like Romo and Prescott and Aikman and Staubach and see they all were great, but you can't see it you can't separate team failures from the quarterback, and we get it super casuals they don't understand football, so they blame the quarterback because he makes the most money and they're upset because it's not their favorite.

This is not a popularity contest, literally the stats show he's so far from average you're in the wrong zip code..

You read the stats comparison, right? Both QBs have very similar stats and have the same number of wild card wins. You do acknowledge facts, right?

Then why is one QB so revered and one so reviled?

Romo got as much money as he could soak Jerry for and no one complained. Dak did the same and omg, he’s gets destroyed for it.

A few points:

1. In case you haven’t been following the NFL the past 30 years, QBs are vastly overpaid because there are so few great ones. Neither Romo nor Dak are great QBs as evidenced by their pitiful 2 wild card wins and literally the same stats, with Dak having slightly better stats.

2. There is a huge double standard for the way Romo is revered vs Dak. There are differences of course but they have virtually the same stats and the same number of wild card wins. But when anyone brings this up, you’d think Dak shot the pope and Romo ended world hunger and that’s my point, a double standard to anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear.

You can prefer Romo over Dak and that’s fine. But don’t pretend Romo brought this organization anything that Dak hasn’t equally delivered.

Again, the focus should be on our owner and GM for insisting on making every football decision winning be damned.

Who's revering Romo???? What you've got SO WRONG, is that either of them are anything. Your OP and now this response seems to be a protection of Dak who appears to be a pet cat of yours....let it go both overpaid and big failures, especially against the money they were paid.

If you look, by raw statistics, most of the greatest QB's of all time play right now. That's not because guys like Dan Marino suck. Its because the game has changed. If you drop a guy like Montana in today's NFL he would put up video game like stats.

Technically, Brock Purdy is one of the greatest QB's of all time based on per game stats. He isn't.

I agree, the game changed. passing became easier and focus is on scoring through passing. put marino on a team today and 6000 yards is a norm for him. he was just that good.

The point was that the very same excuses you guys, (and no, you don't get to ignore all the historical context and exclude yourself from the Dak Defender club) have undeniably used to defend Dak's playoff failures are not extended to Romo when they undeniably are equally as relevant.
