Dak is more succesful than Wentz right now. Both are damaged, one got his feeling hurt and the other guy got his leg broke. It's good that Dak can come back to his team, and Wentz is going to the Colts, and what I am saying is that I think the Colts will have a better record than the Cowboys. It's not a rivalry thing it's a NFC vs AFC deal...the NFCe is what the Cowboys need.



The Colts will have a better record at the end of the season than the Cowboys. It's all up to the QB's on each team.

I tend to agree! Wentz going to the Colts was about the best thing that could of happened to him. Dak is going to have his hands full this season just trying to recover from his injury and the NFC east is getting better. I hope the Commanders don't get a QB or it's over for the test of the east. Their defense is really good.

They are clearly the frontrunner for the NFCE... so that gets you into the postseason. Even a marginally improved defense gets you a chance. If we drop from giving up 30+ points a game and get to 25+ points (reasonable and possible) — then we have a chance. Maybe not a great chance. But a chance nonetheless.

Being a frontrunner doesn't get you into the postseason. Actually winning the division does. What they might do is not the same as what they will do. How many times in the past have they been the frontrunner and blew it?

Until they do it, it's nothing but talk and what might have been/what could be. That's all it will ever be until Jerry is gone.

Dak didn’t set the world on fire. The only semi-legit win that he had was due to Atlanta’s screw up on a special team play and Dak had the Oline intact.

And this is made all the more funny as you people told us that Dalton was going to prove how utterly dispensable Dak is only for Dallas to score 1 TD in their next 50 offensive drives without Dak.

1. Outside of some depth along the OL— we don’t have needs on offense. So, in theory, the remaining resources can be sent to fortify and improve the D— which has been the achilles heel of this team. With a marginally better D — this team may win a few more games and compete in a weak NFC.

2. The cap will go up in coming years— so while Dak’s number goes up— his percentage of the cap should stay relatively consistent.

3. Addressing the QB position allows the team to set it’s roster around Dak. We can restructure deals, cut players, and be active in FA (albeit not high rollers)— whereas playing on the tag would negate a lot of our flexibility.

I am simply looking at the current group of core players that are soaking up our cap space (Dak, Tyron, Zack, Coop, Zeke, D Law, Jaylon) and acknowledging that there is a 3 year window to win/contend. If they can’t get it done— we can get out of all those contracts and start completely over with a rebuild.
