So when did your vision get affected by your calf? He is not seeing the field. Teams have figured out how to play him. He’s average. Good QB on a strong running team. He isn’t going to put a team on his back

What is so strange is he put up arguably the best QB performance we have seen against a Bill Belichick coached defense and was absolutely lighting up every team we played through the first half of the season. I would argue that a bad QB cannot typically manage that. Heck, even really good QB's can't do that. Dak has shown he can read a defense and make the right throws. Unfortunately he isn't even playing at an average level average right now. I would guess the issues he has been having are strongly related to lack of confidence right now/ being in a bad space mentally. Potentially the shoulder injury is also lingering? I don't know. All I know is that the stale offensive game plan we have been trotting out is not helping us at all either.

Its real simple Dak has stoped being Dak and is trying to be Peyton, and Tom . He now feels he has to be a pocket passer at all costs and its costing He no longer operates on the instincts that made him great . In short he needs to run the ball once in a while and make sure the chains get moved .
Proof positive is what he did to finish this game when he feared the game could be lost and viewed all his fault. He stopped with all the cute crap ran the damn ball for a 1st down and closed the game out . But he had to be scared into doing it to go back to his old instincts .
This isnt rocket science watched McNabb become the same way . Cost him a SB

During that same time he had his calf injury, his grandmother died. Maybe his grandmother's death is affecting him more than he thinks.

He seems completely in his head and distracted.

I actually think this is a plausible explanation. I think his mental health is really struggling right now. You can see it in his eyes.

If Dak would have signed somewhere else w/out this O-line, WR's ,and Defense, 99% of you homer backers would be destroying the man!!!! Because, trust me ,he would be HORRIBLE W/out them! Yet we resign him for way too much $ and it is everyone elses fault!?

Ah yes, you and people of your ilk are back to the "anyone can win with this team!!" nonsense. You would think after last season when your moronic theory had every reason to be proven right...and instead was proven spectacularly wrong you people would stop posting.

Dak ran the ball 7 times, converting two 1st downs. Don't know what more do you want bro? Like I said yesterday, the problem is our Oline's poor blocking, thus affecting our running backs. Our RBs struggled to get 1-2 yards while WFT's backup RBs were getting 7+ yards behind their backup Oline.

I mean, that has to be it, right? Can we get Dak or even the Cowboys organization to admit that?

Perhaps he needs to sit? What good is a playoff berth with a broken Dak Prescott?

OR --> is it not just the injury, but the way defenses are scheming? Doesn't help that Zeke and the running game (sans Pollard) aren't the same as they were earlier in the year.

Bottom line is Dak is struggling. Glad it's coming out in the open right now. Let's see what he intends to do about it...
You can’t sit him
But it needs to get better
Just started with calf but not sure if calf is the issue or just mental

Sometimes you have to decide to not throw it.
If Dak had been able to see the creeping LB coming in from behind the jumping DE, he definitely would not have thrown it. The problem is Schultz deciding to stop, instead of continuing to run to the wide open field.

The young man has experienced a lot of loss and has overcome it. That's one thing that I like about Dak. His ability to overcome adversity.

Let us hope that he can do it again. I do think he is going through something in his head right now that is not even 100% related to football. He seems to actually be depressed based on his body language. He just isn't even having fun out there.

Some of these guys you never see till they have a reason to bash someone
You’d think a fan would have a positive post once in awhile
No doubt Dak didn’t play well and play calling was suspect too. When you are ahead and trying to run out the clock you run the ball
So if dak didn't play well we can't talk about it?

It's the injury. Calf plus ankle....

His footwork is very bad. He one hops a lot of throws and he favors that lower leg a lot...

Dak is much better than what we have seen over the last 6 games. He has played in the league long enough that it isn't a question of whether or not he can play the QB position well. His track record over the last 5 seasons is that he is an above average starter at a minimum. I mean, even if you think he is just a good bus driver we are not getting even that level of play from him right now and he has shown he can do that in the past. We can argue about whether or not he is overpaid, but this is fact. This has been the worst stretch of games in his career by far. It appears that mentally he is fried. He has no confidence for some reason and cannot even make the simple plays right now. Combine this with what seems to be a stale offensive game plan and you have a recipe for disastrous QB play.
You can assess qb traits and performance

But that's not the case is it. Stop making stuff up and go off of facts.

You act like no playoff teams have a bad game or sloppy game.

Is Buffalo a playoff team? What about Bucs or KC? What about GB?

Division games are going to look sloppy and tough. Dallas defense absolutely looked like a playoff defense

I see the concept of having teams in the playoffs that don't belong there eludes you. I mean losers define a playoff team as a team that gets there even on one of those years in the past where an undeserving 8-8 team gets there. And you are acting like people are judging on one game not the last few. I'm not saying the cowboys can't improve and become a worthy team, but if we keep playing like we have recently I think the first team we face will beat us.
