On his way out?

Have you looked at his contract lately? You cant exactly walk away from a contract like.

Like it or not, Dak is going to be here for a very long time so we better find out what is wrong with him and try to fix it instead of having a boner for Herbert or whoever else you guys want at QB.
Jerry had to have him. History repeats itself.

Imagine if we had Rodgers or Brady or Mahomes?

So many of you people are like toddlers in a sandbox that have a really good blue shovel to play with but you’re pissed and throwing a tantrum because you don’t have the bigger red shovel the kid next to you is playing with.

hahaha, what??? Are you putting Herbert in the same league as those 3???? because I am not, not now anyway.
Dak's been awful the last 5 weeks, and even though he was very good earlier in the season he ranks 23rd on QBR...to admit it does't mean you are a Dak hater, it is what it is.
He's behind guys like Bridgewater, Brissett, Matt Ryan, Heinicke, Hurts and just above Daniel Jones and Roethlisberger..

Umm sure if you take his worst games, if you take the whole season he is still in the top 10...again what do other QB's look like when I ONLY factor in bad games?

Nope, he's 23rd. I was surprised as well, if you only take his last 5 games he's at the bottom of the league, here's the link if you want to check it out.

1 Aaron Rodgers Green Bay Packers QB 108.8
2 Matthew Stafford Los Angeles Rams QB 108.4

5 Russell Wilson Seattle Seahawks QB 103.7
6 Kirk Cousins Minnesota Vikings QB 103.5

Funny think Dak is ahead of Mahommes in Comp%, td-int ratio, yards per att, again its not what happened its all about who it is i guess.

QB% might be a 7 yard out on a 3rd and 14.. That's a plus in QB Rating not in QBR.
Same with TD-int ratio, not the same having 3 TD's in the second half when you are being blown out than having them in a tight game, even Jerry says Dak is in a slump but who is he anyway haha.

The Bengals seem to be melting down while the 49ers went to Cincy and beat them . SF is more dangerous then some teams the Cowboys could end up playing

We have all said it, no one is saying he is not. QB's go through them, and he needs to pull out of it. Four games ago it was a diferent set of QB's and now they are higher...again none of this means Dak is this instead of who he was earlier...the offense needs to fix itself and they can as what they did earlier in the year was not luck.

Being blown out and going to overtime dont go together...if your angling for trash time stats that would be a game that does not go to overtime....

That we can agree on, I hope Dak finds his way once again.... I for one think he will.

I am not talking about any of Dak's games.... I am talking about how QBR is measured.

QBR (this is why it's a more complete stat on how a QB is playing than QB Rating)

There are six steps to building QBR:

  • Each QB "action play" (passes, rushes, sacks, scrambles, or penalties attributable to the QB) is measured in terms of the expected points added (EPA)
  • Adjust for the difficulty of each play. EPA is adjusted based on the type and depth of a pass, and whether the QB was pressured.
  • If there is a completion, he only is credited for the typical number of yards after the catch (passer rating takes all yards into effect) based on the type and depth of the pass
  • There is a discount on garbage time, or a time where the score is out of reach near the end of the game.
  • Opponent adjustment: More credit is given with tougher defenses and vice versa.
  • QBR averages the adjusted EPA per play and transforms it to a 0 to 100 scale, with 50 being average.

Come on Roy, that troll comment only works on a few posters on here anymore. @Sydla has been a level-headed respected poster on here for years now. He has no hidden agenda, I believe he only wants to see the Cowboys win like the rest of us.
Maybe, but he can’t seem to analyze an offense.

Be careful what you wish for. We all know how difficult it is to find a top level QB. Dak is certainly good enough in my opinion.

We could trade him and end up with someone like Daniel Jones in the draft.
