Dak's bad foot work

He was fired by the Cowboys.

I think he was fired by Parcells in that same time frame as when Parcells fired Bryan
Broaddus.

The analysis is meaningless. He repeats footwork and draws some lines on the screen that neither line up with Dak's foot or with the direction of the receiver.
Thank God. For minute there I thought Dak was inaccurate with the football. Wait a minute.... doesn't he actually:hammer:

This is the biggest problem with Dak’s game.

I hoped he would have improved it more by this team in his career. The fact he hasn’t, is my primary concern with his play.

If he improved his footwork his accuracy would improve, as well as, his ability to move around the pocket.

At this point I feel like he will never get it corrected and that’s why the team needs to bring in other young talent.

Footwork is not so easy to correct. He probably still has to think about it and then it degrades in the heat of the game. It's the lack of anticipation that worries me more than anything.

Hmmm....maybe.....just maybe.......they need to bring in a guy who can actually work with dak and help dak correct this problem......instead of bringing in a former backup QB, a lineahan guy, who may not be qualified for the job.

We all witnessed how a good oline coach can either work wonders for or be a detriment to a talented group of olinemen. I'm sure the same would apply to the QB position.

time with the WRs will solve that

No, it’s not easy to correct at all. You’re right.

Actually, starting as a rookie may have as a negati impact on him developing this part of his game. Lack of ability to practice with repitition, without having to play under live fire, like you said, during a game.

The lack of anticipation is also a Concern. I agree.

If you watch Tom Brady play. His footwork is a big reason I think he is the best ever. His footwork in the pocket is like a masterpiece. They are always in the right spot. The way he just subtly moves in the pocket and always has them in position to make an accurate pass is incredible.

Last week and many other times, I noticed he also does an unnecessary hop when trying to throw the ball. Especially to little screen passes to Zeke during the Eagles game. He was under no pressure and didn't need to do that at all.
