Dak's bad foot work

He was fired by the Cowboys.

I think he was fired by Parcells in that same time frame as when Parcells fired Bryan
Broaddus.

The analysis is meaningless. He repeats footwork and draws some lines on the screen that neither line up with Dak's foot or with the direction of the receiver.

Hey guys, apparently Dak has great footwork.

I blame his footwork issue on the ground. The earth is spinning to fast and when he gets ready to set his feet the ground has moved. This pisses me off, why can't we get a ground guru to stop the earth during the games.

When the earth is spinning like it should be, Dak is an accurate passer.

That....and it’s Dez’s fault.

If they schemed better for him and got him a better offensive line and another number one wide receiver , that would fix his bad footwork. Who's Kellen Moore has he ever danced with the stars. Get him out of here and get the midget girl on dancing with the starts to work with him.

yeah Dak has the best footwork in the NFL. Can somebody show us some shots of how Dak's footwork is bettrer than Bradys, Rodgers and Brees. You haters piss me off. "find another team if you don't like his footwork"
Drama queen much? Where did anyone say he had the best footwork in the NFL? Who said it was better than Brady, Rodgers and Brees?

No, it’s not easy to correct at all. You’re right.

Actually, starting as a rookie may have as a negati impact on him developing this part of his game. Lack of ability to practice with repitition, without having to play under live fire, like you said, during a game.

The lack of anticipation is also a Concern. I agree.

If you watch Tom Brady play. His footwork is a big reason I think he is the best ever. His footwork in the pocket is like a masterpiece. They are always in the right spot. The way he just subtly moves in the pocket and always has them in position to make an accurate pass is incredible.
Steve Young used to talk about footwork being everything. Each step back represented a different route to throw to. Once he got that down things flowed for him.

It's hard to believe that they aren't working on this with him. I mean they didn't let him take a 7 step drop without play action until week 14 of his rookie season. They must recognize it.

I don't know. I've been pretty hard on Dak, but I do see him making more throws 10-20 yards down field outside the numbers. That's what he needs to do to open up the middle of the field again. So while it's not as fast as I like, I still glimpses of improvement that make me think we should see where this goes and not give up on him Too quickly.

Seems like one of those electric dog training collars could be useful.

Throw off your back foot, ZAP.
Unnecessary hop before letting it go, ZAP.
Bail to soon on a clean pocket, ZAP.
:lmao:
I got one of those, I'd cinch it up above my knee & ZAP myself in the mornings to help me wake up sometimes, it works good.

( straight up/trueo_O)

He's always had odd throwing mechanics and poor footwork. I'm sure they've likely worked with him on it but I'm guessing when the bullets start flying he reverts back to what he knows.

He is who he is which is an erratic passer that can connect through a tight window as well as he can air mail a ball over his receiver's head.

Project his stats for the rest of this year and compare them to 2017; they're nearly the same. That's what you're going to get with him.

This is why many Cowboys fans are having a hard time with Dak's future.

And he is being coached on this by a dude who couldn't swing it as a back-up QB in Moore, and the chief of back-up QBs in the greatest clapper of all time....

What's Moore and Garrett not doing to fix his problems that the haters see? Jason stays after practice playing throw the ball in the can to work on his accuracy problems. Is Moore not reading the defense for Dak and telling him who to throw too? Those guys piss me off, get them out of here so Dak can become the best ever.

...lol.. I tell ya. Why is it so hard to find effort in seeing the cup half full, then half empty. The brain cant tell the difference, so at least you get the advantages of seeing the possible. ;)..

Dak needs all the help he can get and Jerry surrounds him with an unqualified QB coach and an undrafted 2nd year backup. At least Romo got to learn from Testeverde, Bledsoe, and Brad Johnson early in his career. Those are backups who were former Pro Bowl players

Didn’t start till after the falcons game in 2017. Maybe now he can get his mojo back tomorrow? Big enough game for this kid.. let’s see how he responds a year later.

He was pummeled and then destroyed again for 6 sacks against the egirls the next game. He responded last week...

This is the biggest problem with Dak’s game.

I hoped he would have improved it more by this team in his career. The fact he hasn’t, is my primary concern with his play.

If he improved his footwork his accuracy would improve, as well as, his ability to move around the pocket.

At this point I feel like he will never get it corrected and that’s why the team needs to bring in other young talent.
Psst...change your handle.
