I just read the following article on changes in the Dallas offense. It doesn’t really fly with me that the problem was Moore, as it indicates very clearly that defenses were reading Dak pretty easily last year.

Dak also said this:
As I’ve said multiple times on this forum, Dak stares down his WRs and he’s not a good progression QB. Here he’s trying to sell the fact that if his first-read is not there, he’s suppose to go to his second. Please tell me how this was the fault of Moore? That’s standard practice of a QB.
They also seem to imply the disconnect was between WR and QB, meaning the timing was off. We all see it with Dak. What they call timing is his slow processing time.
The other point is, Dak is throwing the majority of time out of shotgun, without any drop-back from under center. He’s throwing the same way he’s been throwing his whole career, meaning it’s not Moore. Linehan had to take the traditional drop-back away from him, because his timing sucked. Moore hardly used it as well. This is a “sales pitch” to me.
I personally think the beginning of the season will be slow and Dallas play calling will have to get back to the standard Dak play-calling.
