Dak's contract

We’re in a really bad spot with that deal and what he is as a player.

But hey.. A lot of you applauded it and said we had to do it because of the market.

I doubt we have a better chance than this year so enjoy cheering for Dak but your team will probably never win anything.
Nah you're right and all the people that gave you crap over your opinion ought to apologize but I wouldn't hold my breath.

It's only getting worse from here...

But hey, an oil man and his well trained kid ought to be able to run a football team, yes?

I have zero expectations from here.

You just answered for me. And you just said the same as I said. Get A real coach!!

Lets just hope Jerry doesn't hire another pushover like k moore or Dan Quinn.

You can just tell those 2 guys don't have that alpha dog mentality that Jimmy Johnson and bill parcells had.

Even that guy in Indy had more guts than anyone in our front office talking about Wentz future.

Why can't we be like them? Why do we insist on cuddling players in this country club?

San Francisco literally traded up to the first round to replace a QB that has been to a SB and beat us today.. Let that sink in.

Oh stop. Dak just played his 6th season in the league. You have seen the best of him. He doesn't have the talent or football intelligence of top tier QBs like Rodgers and Mahomes. He is slow processing coverages and has yet to discover the ability to look off a safety. He is an average NFL QB thriving statistically against bad teams.

So you don't think having a better coaching staff would help Dak or any quarterback?

Because you have a senile grandpa running the team that thinks all of his players and coaches are grand kids:facepalm:

When can we get out of it...is it 2 or 3 more years?

You would have to draft a rookie and hope they played as a starter than have a high priced backup for 2 years or live with Dak for 2 years while grooming a QB.

Here is the deal if Dallas would draft 2-OL sign one free agent OL and re-tool the line and basically replace Elliott with a drafted RB than Dak might be ok for 2 years. The OL is needed to be changed. I personally don't want McCarthy back and don't give 2 hoots if Kellen Moore leaves.

Yep.

Dak’s a great dude but he’s just an ok player.

Some of you need to get out of the stat book and look at what’s on your screen.

We can’t play bad teams in the post season and eventually what he really is shows up.
They don’t know what they’re seeing. That’s the issue with the homers, fantasy football and madden guys. Never played, coached or scouted on any level. All they can go to are those stats.

Trade him for a 4th round pick...it would be an upgrade over the 4th round compensatory pick it took to get him!!
No team in their right mind would trade for Dak and that contract. No team in their right mind would trade for Zeke and than contract. No team in their right mind would trade for Cooper and that contract.
We are stuck and screwed for years.

I'd like to get Dak a real coach for once and go from there. He has never had a real coach since he's been here. I'd give him one more chance with a real coach and see what happens.
Dak is what he is. He’s not getting better. Why does everyone around him need to be better? He’s paid to carry. He can’t.

What’s your plan when you do?

Everyone who wants to get rid of Dak refuses to acknowledge what will happen afterwards, and worse they’d complain about that when it happens.

I see lots of rose colored glasses laying on the floor this morning.

We have been at each other's throats about this position for the last six years and although we will always have disagreements, I think it's safe to say that the majority have finally realized what we have at the QB position now.

The bottom line is that it was a bad decision to give Prescott such a contract and it's going to seriously hamper what we can do over the foreseeable future. Combine that with his limitations and things don't look good.

As mentioned, it will be a minimum of two years before we can even think about getting out of this deal. It will realistically be three years. One constant remains though.

Jerry Jones.

The man is incapable of building a Championship team on his own. We know it. Everybody knows it. That's why the next three years will be rough and really well beyond that as long as this family runs this team because there will be more bad contracts.
