so Brady plays the jets,dolphins and bills twice a year. suppose hes average also. of course that don't fit the narrative. But,but but its tom brady hes a legend. heres a clue for you every QB has suspect defenses they play against from time to time Dak did what he was supposed to.

oh and the garbage time narrative someone forgot to tell green bay who was still in it to win it. They continued to blitz and play hard. But continue on.

Always the constant different set of rules for Dak compared to other QBs.

He gets to pad those numbers this weekend, and then the real football begins.

Russell Wilson has played against the 22nd, 23rd, 26th, and 29th ranked passing defenses in the league. Is he not a legit downfield passing QB since he accumulated stats built off the backs of bad pass defenses?

Matthew Stafford has played against the 21st, 25th, 29th, and 30th ranked passing defenses in the league. Is he not a legit downfield passing QB since he accumulated stats built off the backs of bad pass defenses?

Patrick Mahomes has played against the 19th, 28th, 30th, and 32nd ranked passing defenses in the league. Is he not a legit downfield passing QB since he accumulated stats built off the backs of bad pass defenses?

Point is, every QB is going to have bigger days against mediocre/bad defenses and struggle more against good ones. I'm not saying Dak is as good a downfield thrower as Mahomes or Wilson, but you shouldn't throw out a blanket accusation when reality makes it illegitimate.

But, the Anti-Dak crowd won't go down the list of QB's that they favor, including Mahomes who i like and only count the stats,throws, and plays that they make against the top defenses, when they are judging the talent level of these QB's. And aren't going to not avoid praising the plays that these other QB's make against the bottom of the NFL defenses.

The thing about facing good defenses is that it's used to excuse other QB's that perform poorly against good defenses. Daniel Jones, Darnold, and Mayfield where defended for their lack of performance against the Patriots defense and were told that because the Patriots defense was so called that they should be given a break. Yet, if Dak struggles or doesn't put up fantasy stats against that same defense, people will say that it means he is a bad QB.

Reminds me of the supporting cast thing, where other QB's get defended if the perception is that they don't have enough help or key players around them. While Dak is criticized by the assumption that he needs help and key players around him.

Did Aaron have the best offensive line, the best running back, and a supreme group of receivers in most of those games?

His defenses were gawd awful.

Look deeper.

In other words the situation and circumstances weren't perfect for Rodgers to win those games. Something that Dak gets constantly accused of is needing "everything perfect" in order to win and be successful.

And with if any QB that they believe in or support fails in certain important areas like wins or getting into the playoffs, or winning a Superbowl. Then one of their biggest defense for that QB is that the QB didn't have enough help or a good enough supporting cast around him. While saying that Dak needs to be carried at the same time by a strong supporting cast.

And you're selling his long game with the above list.

I fail to see why we still post these threads. The people that doubt Dak will continue to doubt him until he wins them 6+ superbowls and/or retires. No stat will tell them otherwise. Anyone with eyes can see that he's a good QB. Not ELITE like Rodgers or Wilson, but good. You can win a lot with good. I'm very proud to say he is our QB.

Admittedly my first thought when I saw this was wondering how the others had faired against what level of pass defenses. Kudos on doing the research so the rest of us didn’t have to do it.

I also admittedly thought Dak might have had an easier run at things knowing our schedule and not knowing the others. Glad to see initial assumption was wrong.
