Dak's Injury?

I'm surprised no one seems to be talking about it affecting his game.

Dak played soooo bad that I cant believe that, thats the result of missing a couple of weeks - no way.

IMO I think he's afraid to push off that calf - his body language tells me he's tentative - you can see it in some of his throws.

Would love to know if he went "full speed" in practice and how he looked cause if he looked anything like he did today - they should have held him out one more week.
He's already said his calf had nothing to do with the way he played against Denver, during the post game interview.

Don’t buy that at all.

Prescott was playing hurt. His ego got in the way and he didn’t want to miss another game. He should have sat out. This loss would be a lot better to take.

Do you have insight on the nature of his injury?

Seems to me that if Dak continues to play poorly in practice, he should be held out of the games until he's ready to return to playing acceptably. I know he's exceptional when his body allows him to be at his best. I'm hoping the staff allows his recovery to occur first, beforehand. The appropriate decision could. easily, have everything to do with this team's success in 2021. Hopefully, the C'boys' FO won't be insistent upon playing Dak, mainly due to the generous amount of money invested in his contract. That might well be extremely questionable. Many important decisions await resolution! o_O

You’ll never get the same play from an all world, all pro, first ballot HOFer who has won multiple SBs and always leads his team to 2nd half comebacks playing with injuries. Not to mention he has zero talent around him so he has to carry the team every week. No worries though, he’ll be back at full strength in a few weeks and on to another Dak lead SB victory. His greatest leaves all former, present and past players in awe of his greatness! Move over Stabauch, Aikman, Montana, Brady, Mannings, Bress and Co. The new Legend with the star has arrived!
That's blasphemy.
:angry::omg:

Dak looked scared. Over throw 2 easy TD passes. And never saw the open receivers all day. We would have won if Rush played. They though throwing him back in would be good enough…. If you ran up the middle behind Martin all game we win.

He was trying to hard.

Dak looked like he was moving around fine to me. He just flat stunk. WRs and everybody else did him no favors either.

  1. I think he looked tentative.
  2. I also noticed that Cooper and Lamb looked slow compared to normal. They slowed down on routes and defenders were uncharacteristically jumping routes.
  3. The O-line was collapsing quickly.
  4. The timing was off from a combination of of all three items listed.
  5. The line was not creating running lanes.
  6. Zeke looked hobbled.
  7. Diggs looked like he was playing slower.
  8. Dak also used garbage time to work on timing. Moore, Dak and Big Mike will have this fixed.
  9. There is plenty of game tape for each player to watch to see where they can improve. This should be a humbling defeat for a team that was soaring among the top teams in the NFL.
  10. Go Dallas!!! Also, my fingers are crossed for Tyron to be a full go.
Great post. The reason I still visit this board. Optimism is how we get through life.

One of the issues with Dak, going back to his college career, is once he starts feeling pressure, it starts to tail-soon from there. Then he starts playing like there is pressure when there is none. There were times in the first half you could see him bailing from the left side when there was zero need to. It’s pretty clear to me Smith being out caused him to act like this and it cascaded from there.

So when you say things like he looked “tentative”, well the issue is why? He clearly stopped looking tentative when the game was out of reach and he needed to pad some stats. We’ve seen this Dak so many times before,

That also negates the injury excuse. Hell, that’s not even acceptable because Dak was running more this game then I’ve ever seen him all year and he broke quite a few tackles in the backfield to escape the pressure and he took off a couple times and looked good from that perspective. Dak being athletic and hard to bring down is not a quality that people who think he’s an average QB deny.

Dak scored a 70 by PFF which isn't that bad. Dak was rusty. Half of his passes were right on target, but ironically, his WRs dropped some of them which would have kept drives alive and most likely help put points on the board.

Everyone was off, including the coaches.

he said he was scared and couldn't focus his eyes. he already is a slow reader, mix that with fear focus and you have what happened Sunday.

Goes back to college. His draft profile criticism are dead on. That becomes clear when he’s not getting top flight blocking. Especially considering his release is slow and his mechanics are inconsistent. He also, like I said, predetermined his throws. This issue has been masked by the fact our WRs get all this man coverage, because of the RG and OL and can beat DBs generally 1 on 1.

wonder if that is why he loses every throwing challenge he's been in. fear, or he wasn't getting paid enough. lmao

just go back and watch his bugged eyes on the bench pouting and not firing up the team. where were the fake fist bump and cheerleading crap? he was pouting cause he couldn't hit a barn.

This guy in the other hand can slap his offensive players behinds anytime:

This is a legend in the making. Best QB in the league as we stand right now. I haven’t seen Murray play, but I doubt he’s throwing the way this guy is throwing on every level of the field.
