Great read. Important to note that Brady had an entire year to learn the system prior to taking over. Dak was thrown into the fire while literally inheriting a dumpster fire of a team at 4-12.

Simply put, statistic wise the comparison between Dak and Brady is GREATLY in Dak's favor their first seasons. I've said here prior to the season that Dak is a more mobile and more physical Brady. Looks like the comparisons are starting on a national level now.

Any time a time a team hits a grand slam w their first round pick like we did with Zeke..you can expect to see massive leaps in the Win category...who would have thought a rookie RB would be the MVP of the entire nfl..you have to credit the FO for having the guts to take Zeke at 4..and it's paying huge dividends

Thanks, but Dak is the primary reason we are winning. Zeke makes for a good supporting cast.

Take no credit away from Dak..he's playing well for a game manager...taking care of the ball and not losing gamed..allowing Zeke and the D to carry the team..smart QB for a young pup

There is a reason Dak's rookie cards sell for more than Zeke's.

Yea, I get that you're a Dak fan, not necessarily a cowboys fan, but if you think Dak inherited a dumpster fire of a team, you either aren't familiar with the game of football, or aren't familiar with the Cowboys.

Just the year before they were 12-4, and they started the year off 2-0 prior to Romo going down. The QB position was a dumpster fire, but they still had 3 olinemen as all pros, an WR a year removed from being an all pro, and Jason Witten at TE. Hell, even Cole Beasley and Terrence Williams showed they could play in 2014.

So let's not act like Dak turned the Cleveland Browns into SB contenders, we had a playoff roster, with the exception of the QB position last year

QBs typically have the highest resale value on rookie cards..

There's also a reason Zeke was drafted over 130 players before Dak..he's 130X better
MANY national analysts say Dak would be the #1 overall pick if we drafted again right now. Franchises give up 6 prime picks for the ability to draft a good QB prospect. NOBODY will give up much at all for a player at a completely devalued position. I can't help it almost everyone was wrong on Dak prior to the draft.

Here we go... Ppl getting all up in their Romo feelings.

Btw.. He was right. Dak did inherit a dumpster fire. The change in culture is directly attributed to his insertion.

I don't think I would call the offense that Dak inherited a "dumpster fire". There are literally 9 starters playing with him that were starting or major contributors from last season.

Yes because saying that the dumpster fire he referred to includes 9 starters this season can't possibly be anything other than people getting Romo hurt. (Fun note - Romo wasn't even playing last season).

It is possible to like both QB's you know.

Edit: And no I am not taking anything away from Dak, he has played awesome. But he inherited arguably the best offensive line in football, a decent to good receiving core, a hall of fame tight end, and a out of this world rookie RB - hardly a dumpster fire of Browns or 49ers proportions.

Couple all of this with adding the best player in the entire league (Zeke/confirmed by his soon go to be mvp award) you get an easy life for any rookie qb..I could probably win a few games playing game for this team...probably not 13..but that's why Dak is better than I am

Redrafts don't exist..and those so called analysts don't make any picks...nobody was wrong on Dak...nobody could have guessed he was going to be gifted the best player in the entire nfl as his backfield mate...otherwise everyone would have seen his success coming...

I don't which claim is more ridiculous: the OP's claim (not in this thread, but elsewhere) that Dak is the greatest QB to ever play the position or his antagonist's claim that Zeke is 130x better.

I can't remember the last time I wanted no part of either side of a debate. Thanks for reminding me that sometimes both sides are obviously wrong.

Not surprising to see Dak being compared to the greatest QB of all time. I said Dak has played Brady like this season. Methodically dissecting defenses, minimizing mistakes, and taking chances when he can. I would take this over throwing into triple coverage because of MUH QB PRESENCE any day of the week.

There's a reason Steve Young and Troy Aikman heaped unprecedented praise on Dak this week. He has cemented his status as the greatest rookie QB in NFL history, the one that all subsequent rookies will be compared too. There is no substitute for greatness.

You think Zeke is more than 130x better than Dak? That's a bit much I would say..
