Here we go... Ppl getting all up in their Romo feelings.

Btw.. He was right. Dak did inherit a dumpster fire. The change in culture is directly attributed to his insertion.

Where did I mention Romo? I think Dak is in integral part of the team's success and don't see how people can say otherwise, but to say Dak inherited a dumpster fire or to agree really says you don't know football.

The 2016 Cleveland Browns are a dumpster fire, the 2015 Dallas Cowboys were a year removed from a conference best 12-4 record. And had a good foundation for any QB to come in and for the team to improve. We got lucky and got a QB with special talent that enabled us to be better this year than in 2014, but this dumpster fire assertion is dumb.

It's hard to win 12 games in the NFL and doesn't happen due to luck or a soft schedule.

Brady is a unique case because he was really nothing special at all in that 2001 season. He "Tebow'd" his way to the Super Bowl...it wasn't pretty from a QB standpoint but he got the job done. Then he developed and the following season, he really began looking like he could be great.

Dak is unique. Brady's development followed a trajectory similar to most great QBs'.

Redrafts don't exist..and those so called analysts don't make any picks...nobody was wrong on Dak...nobody could have guessed he was going to be gifted the best player in the entire nfl as his backfield mate...otherwise everyone would have seen his success coming...

So he's playing like a fourth round rookie QB that just happens to have a really good RB with him? Man, teams really need to adjust how they draft. Any top rated RB will make any qb look great

EXACTLY, Todd Gurley has made Jared Goff look like a future HOF'er... Wait...

Im going to be waiting for that franchise to trade away 6 prime picks to take the next good RB.

It's a fluff piece that tell me little to nothing. The hubris of the press never ceases to amaze me. What difference does it make how he answers questions in press conferences? There are plenty of players including QBs that have been adversarial, robotic, and all manner of unpleasantry that excel on Sundays.

Chris Christie? What football acumen does he have that random guy does not?

Now this is not to say that Dak is not huge or that he is not improved markedly but I am more interested in his attacking downfield and down the sideline, limiting turnovers, and inspiring his teammates as opposed to how he fluffs up the press and makes them jolly.

Dak benefits from Zeke, Zeke benefits from Dak, they both benefit from the offensive line and the receivers we have, and all of them play for the Dallas Cowboys. People spending too much time arguing nonsense when they should just be happy we have a great team. We might get 2 or 3 more Super Bowls out of this group. Don't worry be happy.

For his career he has averaged under 4 yards per carry 19 times in 28 games and under 3 yards per carry 9 in of those. I like him as a running back, I wanted to draft him last year. I realize he has not played with a great QB but those are some scary bad averages.

To Compare him to Zeke at this point is just crazy. (For the record Zeke has been held under 4 ypc only twice this season... compared to 7 for Gurley's rookie season).

Dak inherented the best offensive line in the league and an excellent collection of veteran skill talent. He was also paired with arguably the best running back in a generation. He hardly inherited a dumpster fire.

Lol stop it man. I know Dak is your son but he's the side kick not Zeke
I don't know man, I'm a Romo fan and have been pushing the Romo agenda for the whole season but if prior to the draft we knew Dak would be this good and we had the #4 pick and had to choose between Dak and Zeke, I'm going with Dak without thinking twice.

Stop it bro. Dak is a good young qb but his job is made inifinte more easy by having a good running game. We saw what happened with Romo when it was all on his arm. Dak isn't even good enough to get those results if he had been on those 2011-2013 teams

Franchise QBs only come around so often. The fact that we got one while the current franchise QB is in his twilight years in extremely lucky. But there's no way I'd take a stud running back over a franchise QB. Franchise QBs are much more valuable and rare.
I agree Dak came into a great place for him to succeed but let's not minimize his growth and role in this. And I also agree that he wouldn't be putting up the numbers he is with our 2008-2013 teams. But Dak is a great player with a lot of upside still to reach. You can't take that away from him.

Quarterbacks are a lot more valuable than running backs. Zeke looks like a home run draft pick, but if Dak continues to develop on anything like his current trajectory is he is a thousand times more important for this team's long-term prospects than Zeke is. Quarterbacks are much harder to find and have longer careers than running backs.

Like, if Zeke is the next Adrian Peterson and Dak busts, this team goes right back to being pure trash. If Dak is a perennial Pro Bowler and Zeke is somehow a 1 hit wonder, it's much easier to get a "good enough" running back to replace him.
