So Dak threw for 30 TD's this season.

9 of those TD's came in the first 3 weeks against awful teams. (All drafting top 5)

Against teams with a record of .500 or better he threw 11 TD's.

The other 19 came against the weak teams on our schedule and 13 of those 19 came in the first 3 weeks and week 17 against Washington when he threw 4 against a team that was done.

Dallas was also 2-7 against teams with a .500 record or better.

Dak had 4 games this year with no TD passes including our loss to the Jets...

He also had 11 int's... 3 of them came against the teams below .500.. The other 8 came against the teams with a .500 record or better.
Did you scrutinize Dez’s touchdowns and think less of him when he would eat up the Nolan Carroll’s of the league and get shut down by the good DBs?

No because every WR we had in the Garrett era got shut down periodically like that. He let the defense dictate where the ball went.

Do we need to spend 35 million or more a year to light up bad teams?

Do you think the Wentz/Goff contracts are TRULY justifiable based on their play? Do you think their perceptions are buffered by draft status?

cowboys offense>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>whatever player pats had on offense besides brady
Says who? Because y’all told me Dak sucks, Zeke is fat, Amari sucks on the road and the playbook and Garrett sucks so on what planet or what right does a Cowboy fan have to say they are better than anyone let alone the Pats who make the playoffs every year for the past 2 years?

The OP just destroyed the argument for every Qb ever....Except half of the curren starters
He beats bad teams...he should. He lost to really good teams....so do a lot of good QBs
We don’t know if Dak will win with a decent coach and defense that doesn’t quit...

Both contracts are not good but at least Philly won a title..

Goff is not good and they will regret that contract.

I think at least those 2 teams can justify those bad contracts by saying they went to Superbowls and in Wentz’s case they won it so they are kinda playing with house money in his case.

Our justification for paying Dak is cause market.. We don’t have any post season success to validate our dumb contract.

Aren't you SUPPOSED to light up bad teams? Wouldn't you be concerned if he struggled vs bad teams? Stats can tell any story you want them to depending on your perspective/agenda.
It’s the split and the idea that he was some improved QB that is the concern. Did Peyton Manning feast on the two worst teams in his division, the Raiders and Chargers, in his 55 TD season? Yes. Did he throw HALF of them against them? No, not even close.

I like the way you broke that down.

In 64 games Prescott has failed to throw a passing TD in 17. 26.5% of his starts without a passing TD.

He's won 5 of those games meaning when Prescott fails to pass for a TD the Dallas Cowboys have a (5/17) 29.4% chance of winning. And in the five games that were won, Elliott rushed for 83, 159,150, and 122 (Alfred Morris ran for 61 in the other game).

Wentz has started 56, failed to throw a TD in only 6 games, and won 1.
Goff, 55 games, kept out of the end zone 14 games, and won 2.
Watson started 38, failed to throw a TD in only 6 and won 4.
Cousins, 93 starts, only 8 times has he failed to throw a TD, and won 3 of those.
Carr, 94 games, 16 times failed to throw a TD, 3 wins.

One that boggles the mind is Tom Brady. 285 games, 30 failed to throw a TD, won 22.

Although I was working on all the starting QBs, thought that might be good to toss in here.

What that means to me is if Prescott can't throw for TDs, and challenge the DBs, our chances of winning are less than 1 in 3.

Where can I find Daks record against winning teams for his career. And then compare it to others . This year was a disaster and full of bad luck as well as bad execution by players and coaching staff

the kicker probably cost us a game or 2 and the officials sure didn’t help in at least 2 games

Why is it hate when the facts are broken down.

I did a similar breakdown in the wins and losses. The Dallas offense averaged 37 points in wins and 17 in losses. A dramatic drop of 20 points.

The defense had a 6 point differential(17 to 23)in the wins and the losses. But most felt that the defense let the team down when in reality it was the inconsistent offense.

The defense was much more consistent than the offense and only had three terrible games(all against NFC North) Green Bay, Detroit, and Chicago.

Is Dallas a physical team or a finesse team? Do they hang their hat on having a good defense or having a good offense? Who is responsible for choosing an identity? If you know what style of football you want to play it makes acquiring players to play your style a lot easier. Then and only then can you put together a competent football team that plays complementary football.

Quarterbacks press when playing from behind. And that leads to more interceptions. A dysfunctional team like Dallas would end up playing from behind, more times than not, against good teams. So are Dak's interceptions solely on him without mitigating circumstance? Or can other factors be factored in?

The whole entire team sucked last year. Every unit took turns loosing us games.

The winning-teams stat is so stupid. Everyone tends to have a bad record against winning teams, because winning teams don't lose often. Frickin' shocker...

Not blaming Dak, but don't you have to beat winning teams in order to become a...

winning team?

Shocker.

Those numbers tell a cold, hard truth that many fans don’t want to face. It tells everybody exactly who and what Dak really is if they would listen.
