When Dak leads them to the playoffs, it will be interesting to see what new unique way the NFL will have to keep them from advancing (i.e. the Dez catch or the Butler penalty).

Erod, that's a great way to look at it. DMC (plus Morris) and basically the same OL - although Dez is healthier now than he was most of 2015. My only concern is if he plays light's out, but the team goes 3-3 or 2-4 because they're giving up 25+ points a game. Remember, a LOT of folks wanted to blame him for the playoff loss, even though they scored 31 and he had to bring the team back since the D was leaking for most of that game.

I never saw anyone blame him for the loss.

I saw people say they thought Romo would have made the difference.

That is not the same thing.

Nor is saying that is performance played a role (duh).

This Zeke news has a silver lining: when Dak has us at 4-2 or 5-1, there will be no more stupid excuses about Dak's dominant play. Nowhere for the haters to hide.

If we're 4/5-1 when Zeke gets back, I'll be absolutely stunned. And it has nothing to do with Dak, who I have little doubt will have progressed well.

Even if we had Zeke, we have an absurd amount of suspensions, plus whatever injuries at the time, plus, at best, a total question mark at D. Oh, and a brutal schedule.

Remember 2013 and 2014 Romo had DeMarco Murray .........just saying
He might be referring to 2015, when the team somehow managed 3-1 with a banged up Romo, worse RBs, and a worse defense.

In any case, Dak just needs to be Dak and he'll be fine.

Zeke's gonna play early on anyway.

We also have an ELITE QB who can - and will - cover up a lot of warts.

We went 13-3 with a mediocre D last year. That wasn't all thanks to Zeke. Truth be told, the difference was Dak.

By Week 7, the inconvenient truth will be out there for all to know: the Dallas Freakin' Cowboys have found another GREAT QB.

No reason for Dallas to end up any worse than 3-3 or 4-2. The offense is still loaded with quality skill players, the OL, and of course Dak.
Two quality RBs in Morris and McFadden.
Dez, Bease, T-Williams, Witten, ect.
Defense is what it is, D won't be much worse than last year, if not a little better.

if the six games holds up you are looking at a team drafting in the top ten of the draft with all the suspensions and injuries
IDK. Darren and Morris are a good, decent combination. The offense will be alright. The suspension will be reduced to a max of 4 games...2-2 split.

If this holds up, Dak will be in position to add another $30 - $50 million to his next contract by proving he is not a product of the players around him. Based on his work ethic and dedication to improving and intelligence, I will be betting on my man Dam.

I'm not worried about Dak, he will uphold his part. I need this defense to show something besides an ability to fold under pressure.

While this is true, Zeke's presence brought a ton credibility from coaches around the league to the 2016 offense. Remember Mike Tomlinson(ms) saying before the Steelers games last he was going to focus on stopping Zeke coz he's straw the stirs that offense. In other words, with out Zeke I doubt many defensive coordinators will give the offense much respect. Look for Dak to see a ton pressure until we make them pay.
