I've felt exactly like this about Hansen since 1992 for the reasons I gave you. It has nothing to do with a rant that 12 people watched live that ended up on Oprah.
It’s worth the price of the ticket just to make your segment uncomfortable with the message.

The majority of the Dallas / Ft Worth area agreed.

I haven't said one thing about that segment, but continue with your tired straw man.

Dale got fired from The Ticket. He got fired from the Cowboys. He got fired from every station he worked for until here, and he was despised by those in local media, most all is which shared his views. His colleagues at Channel 8 hated him. Constantly in on-air tiffs with them.

He's an ***. Plain and simple.

That’s all you have is attempting to discredit him personally. He was fired for speaking his mind. Some of us admire that quality. Arrogance when worn properly can be very attractive. Especially in sports.

And Dale’s performance was loved by millions. Most watched local broadcast for decades.

My issues with him are his history with women, as I stated. You've gone full straw man with the rest.

You introduced this in a blatant attempt to slander him. This is first I’ve heard of it and I read the paper and watch news almost daily. I still haven’t seen any links supporting such.

And since it’s coming from someone who despises Dales message I totally discount whatever insider scoop you think you have . Lol

But as always anyone can say anything on the Internet.

So now you know my motivations? Aren't you doing what you're claiming I'm doing?
Don't back down erod. Dale Hanson was a giant douchebag who liked to throw fireballs and thought he was noble for taking strawman sides that no one opposed .
Barry Switzer should have knocked that tub of lard smooth out. I would've.

Switzer was a joke. Dale called it as he saw it which I totally agreed with .

Dale brought his personal opinion which most sports broadcasters don’t. I loved it. So refreshing. Couldn’t wait to hear his take on issues.

Switzer was a joke.
Hanson is a bigger joke.
Wow.

After 40 years I don’t know anyone personally who couldn’t wait to hear Dale’s take on issues.

I can only imagine if you were on the other side of issues that you wouldn’t appreciate.

What kind of people would be on the other side?

It’s an end to an era after 38 years. Dale used his platform to speak out on issues surrounding sports which often were subjects that made fans uncomfortable but made them think .

He begun by reporting on SMU which help lead to their Death Penalty and later called out the Cowboys ownership with the Jones.

He was the most watched broadcast spanning over 4 decades in Dallas/ Ft Worth. And will be dearly missed.

Not by me he wasn't. I didn't like his sport casts, let alone his other off subject shenanigans. He'll be missed by you, but not by me. He was just a sarcastic PITA.

He didn't make me uncomfortable because I never gave him the time. If he's off the air, so much the better. Newy Scruggs is far better. No contest.

Anytime you take a stance publicly as he did it’s not going to be receptive by everyone.

For those of us who did admire him using his platform to provide his take on issues in sports and society he will be greatly missed.

Everyone knew Dale had issues.
