Dale Hanson has no ego...

I heard him trying to explain that away after it happened, but once you see it, how can you say anything but... Hansen is the biggest a-hole in town. What a punk.

I never ever watch wfaa because of hansen. He is such a tool. Every 6 months he is swearing off another local organization for lack of media access..

So far he has said he wont cover the rangers, the cowboys and the stars.

Yet he keeps covering them. Moron.

I am so glad he is at espn radio, I have never heard one second of him there and it is great!

I wish ESPN could trade him back to the Ticket in exchange for Norm Hitzges.

Not me, Norm Hitzges is one of the most respected Radio personalities in the Metroplex even though alot of people think he is "old fashion".

The guy goes on rants and tangents, but as far as his knowledge and history of Football, Baseball, and Horse Racing is really unquestioned.

I would love to see Norm in for stupid Jen Engel.

I agree. I know some can't stand Norm, but I think he is superior.

Pretty much speaks for itself.

In the words of Dennis Green, "He is what we thought he was."

I would have fired his a-- on the spot what an embarrassment.

I don't have sound on this computer can someone capsulize what he said?

Ok im lost here.

What exactly is he making a big deal about?

I dont understand why he threw a little fit right there.

Someone explain this to me because I cant stand Hansen.

What an ***-bag.

I'm not down there. What the heck is he pissed about? Cuz noone cares about stupid baseball? What is that guys problem?

Here you go from TB:
Well they start the news cast amd it goes something like this:

John McCaa: Well we've got some breaking news for you tonight. The St. Louis Cardinals of course as you know are up for the World Series tonight. They are the new champs apparently, beat the Detroit Tigers. Our expert of course on all this is going to join us right now. Dale Hanson, it's big win for the folks of St. Louis.

They zoom out to show the three person news team all together. Hanson looks SO pissed, head down, hand on his chin.

Hanson: I have no idea John, why don't you go ahead and do it.

Massive pregnant pause and tension on the set. McCaa and Campos are just staring in disbelief at Hanson. It's about a 4 second set of pure quiet.

McCaa: We'll take a short break right now and be back with sports.

Gloria Campos: and high school football highlights, stay with us...

So they come back from break.

Hanson: As a great philosopher once said, "Why am I here", and after tonight I really don't know why I am here.

Then he goes on with the story...

Ok, now I get it.

Well, the reason he is upset, and it appears he was COMPLETELY oversensitive, is that he feels that the anchor basically did his "breaking news" before he threw it to Dale. I guess he wanted the guy to simply say, "We have some breaking sports news, and here is Dale Hansen to tell us about it." Instead the guy basically gives the story (Cardinals winning) and then hands it to Dale, and from Dale's vantagepoint, "to do what?" "Am I simply to re-tell them what you just told them?"

Again, extremely picky, because you see that kind of lead in on local news ALL THE TIME.

But I'll bet you that is what had him upset.
