That's what this site claims:

http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/2006Draft.html

They offer no other details; just that Dallas has called and asked. I can't imagine Dallas can give up enough to get him, but what a major steal that would be. He'd make that defense truly elite.

As a 4-3 team, maybe the Ravens would take a 1st, a 3rd, and Greg Ellis.

Why would Baltimore want to get rid of Reed in the 1st place?

But then again they have A.J Hawk falling to the 11th pick overall.

No way!

I'd kill jerry and bill myself if they didnt trade up to the 11th pick if hawk was there still

yeah I bet they would take a 1st, 3rd and Greg Ellis

that would be a totally HORRENDOUS deal for us...Ed Reed isnt worth anywhere close to that

It's deja vu all over again....does it seem to anyone else like these same BS rumors (and I mean EXACT same) just get regurgitated year after year?

I remember the same thing last year. Seems someone just gave it some more legs a few days ago.

Lame.

Naahh, I had Ed Reed and Roy Williams as my starting Safeties in Madden last year. They didn't cost me too much;)

The problem with this deal is Lewis has rapidly declining skills, is becoming fragile, is overpaid and doesn't want to play in the 3-4 anymore. I really don't think he has a place on this team. The only way I would accept this deal is if we had a suitor lined up for Lewis in another deal.

As far as Reed goes, I would be okay with a Roy for Reed deal straight up so long as we worked out an extension with Reed. We always seem to be able to find acceptable strong safeties but miss out on free safeties.

I wonder if we can get Reed for Ellis and a 3rd if they are not pleased with him

I doubt that would be enough. More likely a deal would require Ellis and at least a 2nd rounder.

My only issue with this deal is we now have four high profile guys in the secondary. Will we be able to re-sign Roy and TNew when their contract runs out. I think it is a bad idea to have two highly paid safeties.

If we turned down Ray Lewis and Ed Reed for RW and Greg Ellis, Jerry Jones deserves to be baked in a vat of acid for the remainder of his days

You cannot down 2 guys who have a total of 3 DPOY awards

But Ray is on the decline and has said that he didnt like the 3-4 defence plus you cant forget the TO-Lewis beef. And I wonder if Reed has some carachter issues or something because he is one of the best plays in football and if his team is trying to trade him than I have to wonder why
