Dallas Can’t Go All Defense This Draft

Pitts would need to get past the Eagles, Falcons, and Panthers but I would be OK with it. We also need a replacement for Blake Bell, it's not as glamorous but he filled a vital role in the offense. Tommy Tremble would be an excellent replacement.

Probably draft their board and think Pitts or Slater is the pick if they are their. Hopefully the Taco and Hill picks are painful lessons learned.

I'd be ecstatic with Pitts at 10...he lets us not worry much about Gallup leaving next off season.
If he's BPA by a large margin you take him and don't look back.

I don't know where this got started, but Pitts is not BPA by a wide margin(if he's there when we draft). There are several D players rated slightly lower: Moehrig S, Surtain CB, Farley CB, Horn CB, Owusu-Koramoah LB, Collins LB, Nixon DT, Barmore DT.
LB Parsons is rated at the same level at Pitts.

The Pitts love is one of those things that got started and then got out of hand. Yes, he's a good prospect. No, he's not some can't miss prospect.

You are going way way way back there and talking about injuries since you mention Kitna instead of Romo.

Honestly I'd be surprised if we used all the picks that we have. I think we are going to move up a bit to go get some guys in day 2 and possibly day 3. With that being said I'd love if we traded back from 10 and maybe moved into the top 5 of round 2 to go get someone.
We need some instant starters, and this team is prime to get those guys on the defensive side. If we can trade back from 10 the Cowboys will be one of a handful of teams that will control the draft boards if they choose to do so. Multiple picks in pretty much every round give us the leverage to move however we'd like to. Moving up in any round including moving up into the 1st is a real posibility.

well, right now the only offensive positions of need is at LT.....the rest are young, in their prime....defense is the biggest need and the biggest talent gap on the team.....if there is tackle worth taking then we should and lets groom behind Smith, but we don't need any offensive players at this point.....

If we used our compo picks on offense and normal picks on defense that’s pretty well hits our needs. Of course when it comes to OT, we know anybody half decent goes early.
